DTO - Graduated from University of Garment Technology with a major in fashion design and nearly 10 years of experience working in a garment company in Ho Chi Minh City, but after getting married and having a child, Ms. Cao Huynh Thuong (born in 1992, An Thuan Hamlet, My An Hung B Commune, Lap Vo District) decided to return to her hometown to start a small fashion tailor shop.

After 4 years, with the will to be diligent and hard-working in developing his career, the result from a small tailor shop, Huynh Thuong established a Cooperative Group (THT) to distribute and consume fashion products in My An Hung B commune, helping to increase productivity and create jobs for many local women.

Huynh Thuong said: "At first it was just a small tailor shop, but during the operation, the number of orders increased, local women knew about it and asked to sew, and the Commune Women's Union created favorable conditions for me to develop the tailor shop into a THT".

In April 2024, the THT distributing and consuming fashion products in My An Hung B commune was established, creating jobs for 10 women with a stable income of 6 - 8 million VND/month (depending on labor productivity). In months with many orders, the THT delivers raw materials to the homes of women who do seasonal sewing. Ms. Tran Thi Kieu in An Thanh hamlet, My An Hung B commune, Lap Vo district, came to learn sewing when she was still a small tailor and was guided by Huynh Thuong to become a tailor. For Ms. Kieu, Huynh Thuong is like a teacher who teaches the profession, a benefactor who helps Ms. Kieu have a stable income and the conditions to take good care of her family. Or for Ms. Ma Thi Kim Nhung in Dinh Yen commune, Lap Vo district, who has been involved in sewing for nearly 10 years. Previously, Ms. Nhung only accepted sewing at home, with an unstable income because of the small number of customers, but since joining the THT, Ms. Nhung has had a stable job and received more attention and support.

During her work, Huynh Thuong has approached many customers through the form of wholesale and retail distribution of fashion products in provinces and cities such as Hanoi , Hue, Saigon and the provinces of Can Tho, Long An and Dong Thap province. On average, THT exports 450 - 700 products per month, and in peak months, it produces and distributes about 800 - 1,000 products. Ms. Cao Huynh Thuong added: "Currently, THT sells directly and via Facebook. I hope to develop further in e-commerce channels such as Shopee or TikTok and build a livestream channel to sell and introduce products to more women. I will invest in more machinery and find more customers to create jobs for women."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Khoa - President of the Women's Union of My An Hung B Commune, Lap Vo District, said: "Most of the members of the Cooperative have very stable jobs, with an average income of 6 - 8 million VND/month, higher than before when they sewed at home. The Women's Union of the commune established the Cooperative with the desire to create stable jobs for the local women members...".

The establishment of the Cooperative for distribution and consumption of fashion products in My An Hung B commune has contributed to the good implementation of the spirit of Decree 77/2019/ND-CP of the Government on Cooperatives. Up to now, in My An Hung B commune, there are 3 Cooperatives (Cooperative for distribution and processing of cashew nuts, Cooperative for production and consumption of plastic bags, Cooperative for distribution and consumption of fashion products) contributing to creating jobs and stable income for 159 women.
