Naval Brigade 125 coordinates propaganda about sea and islands in Dong Thap

On the morning of May 23, 2025, in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province, Brigade 125, Naval Region 2 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee to organize a conference on information about seas, islands and attracting human resources in 2025 directly at the Dong Thap Provincial Departmentof Education and Training and online to district and city bridges, high schools, and continuing education centers in Dong Thap province for about 6,000 students and trainees.

Attending the conference at the Dong Thap Provincial Department of Education and Training were Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Hau, Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 125; Comrade Pham Viet Cong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, co-chaired the conference and about 50 key officials of departments, branches and sectors; reporters, social opinion collaborators at the provincial level; colleges, universities and local armed forces.

At the Conference, the reporter of Brigade 125 informed about the recent situation of the sea and islands; the viewpoints, policies and solutions of the Party and State in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; the results of 70 years of building, fighting and maturing of the Vietnam People's Navy and consulting on admission to the Naval Academy; the regimes and policies for Navy soldiers and their relatives.

The conference on propaganda about seas, islands and attracting human resources in 2025 is one of the activities of the program of coordinating propaganda about seas and islands between Naval Region 2 and Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of goals, policies, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, associated with strengthening national defense and security in seas and islands in the spirit of Resolution of the 8th Central Committee, Session XII on the Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Pham Viet Cong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, directed the propaganda to reporters, localities and units to actively propagate about Vietnam's seas and islands, through propaganda contributing to raising awareness for cadres, party members and people to join hands to protect the sacred sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland. In particular, fostering people's trust in the Party and State's guidelines, policies and strategies on building and protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands. At the same time, through the propaganda session to attract human resources presented by the Naval Academy at the Conference, he hoped that students, based on their aspirations, abilities, and interests, would study and research to register for the exam to join the ranks of the Vietnam People's Navy to carry out the task of protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.

At the Conference, Brigade 125 coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment to present gifts to disadvantaged students with excellent academic performance, totaling nearly 20 million VND.
