To take full advantage of this flexibility, parents and students need to understand tuition fees to plan their finances accordingly from the start.
UEH creates a modern and quality educational environment for each learner.
How to understand tuition fees calculated by credit?
At university level, subjects are called credits. Each credit is 2-3 credits.
Credit is a unit used to allocate the study load of students in each subject, semester, and school year of a training program. One credit (15 lessons) corresponds to a certain amount of study time, including: time spent in class (theory, discussion, practice); time for students to study by themselves, read documents, do exercises, research, and time for essays, assignments, projects, and dissertations. For example, the regular Bachelor's program in Technology and Innovation will be trained in 3.5 years, divided into 7 semesters, with a total of 17, 18, 20, 20, 19, 21, and 10 credits for each semester, each semester has an average of 6-8 credits. Find out the total number of credits of the Training Programs at https://tuyensinh.ueh.edu.vn/cu-nhan-chinh-quy/dai-hoc-chinh-quy/ .
Accordingly, university tuition fees will be calculated by credits. Understanding the number of credits for each subject, each semester, and the entire training program, students and parents will be able to build a suitable financial plan.
Tuition fees by major: What to consider?
The unit price of credits for majors (training programs) at UEH has different costs, depending on many related factors such as:
- Which industry group does that industry belong to (Business and management; Social and behavioral sciences ; Law; Mathematics and statistics; Computers, information technology; Engineering technology; Architecture and construction; Tourism, hotels, sports and personal services; Humanities; Journalism and information; Agriculture, forestry and fisheries) ? Because each industry group has different training requirements. For example, engineering, technology, and design industries often need laboratories, modern equipment, specialized software, and practice materials, so training costs are higher than industries that often use theoretical classes. In addition, the duration and nature of specific courses of each industry are also different. Some industries have many practice credits, after-hours learning, learning at hospitals, factories, companies, etc., so tuition fees need to include the cost of training outside of school.
- What type of training does the course belong to (Advanced program; International advanced program; International joint program;...) ? Each type will have different characteristics that affect the tuition fee such as:
- International advanced programs are programs that have been quality accredited by international organizations (AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network for Quality Assurance), FIBAA (European International Quality Accreditation Standards)... so the unit price will be higher. This group of programs often has more credits due to the integration of soft skills, professional skills, and specialized subjects.
- Training language: Training in English (partially or fully) requires internationally qualified lecturers, foreign academic materials, and students learn integrated language skills.
- Different training time: Some international joint programs have a 2+2, 3+1 route (studying part in Vietnam, the rest abroad), or are longer due to foreign language requirements. Some advanced programs integrate international exchange semesters and business semesters, so the actual time is longer.
- Different course structure: Some programs focus on practical courses, experiments, individual projects, or exchange courses abroad, so the design and implementation costs will be higher. Joint programs often have courses imported from foreign partners, so they have to pay copyright fees for content or international lecturers.

At UEH, the tuition fee for each training program is based on the specific characteristics of the major and type of training. Each program is a different learning journey in terms of language of instruction, practice time, number of credits, internationalization modules and experiential environment. All of these factors determine the level of investment that learners need to make and also reflect the depth of quality that UEH is pursuing.
Besides, with the position of Top 136 leading universities in Asia and Top 501 best universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, UEH's current tuition fee is still considered reasonable compared to many leading international universities.
International programs at UEH offer cost-effective options while still ensuring global output standards, high-quality faculty, modern learning materials, and open international transfer opportunities.
Studying abroad is not just about moving between countries, but also about maturing in thinking, integrating in knowledge and preparing for a global future. With a dynamic, multidisciplinary academic ecosystem and a wide international cooperation network, choosing to study at UEH is also an opportunity for "on-site international study abroad" for candidates who proactively grasp the future.
