On May 19th, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Market Management and Development Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), signed a document sent to provincial Departments of Industry and Trade requesting them to monitor and inspect businesses' implementation of the roadmap. Previously, on January 7, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 50/2025/TT-BCT to ensure the synchronized and effective implementation of the E10 bioethanol roadmap, avoiding delays or disruptions in supply that could affect the market, effective from June 1.
Accordingly, the Department of Market Management and Development requests that from now until May 31st, the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities promote awareness and compliance with the roadmap for switching to E10 gasoline among petroleum businesses; widely disseminate information about the safety and benefits of E10 bio-gasoline to create consensus among consumers in their areas.
Remind and closely monitor gasoline retail outlets in the area to urgently complete the technical infrastructure, tanks, pumps, etc., in order to switch to selling E10 bioethanol fuel according to the prescribed roadmap.
At the same time, retail gasoline stations are required to strictly implement the transition to E10 bioethanol fuel starting from June 1st, ensuring there are absolutely no delays or disruptions in the supply.
The plan to address gas stations that do not sell E10 gasoline will be implemented.
The Department of Market Management and Development also requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities to direct market management forces, in coordination with other functional forces, to monitor and inspect retail gasoline stations in their areas, and handle violations such as selling gasoline of the wrong type according to the schedule; hoarding, creating shortages of supply, arbitrarily stopping sales without justifiable reasons or being ambiguous in indicating prices and types of gasoline at the pump; and arbitrarily increasing prices unreasonably...
Market management officials assigned to the area will be held responsible if retail gasoline stations fail to comply with the conversion schedule. E10 gasoline; serious violations or hotspots of fraud and instability in the petroleum market occur within the managed area without timely detection and handling.
According to information from businesses, E10 gasoline is currently being sold at 24,350 VND per liter for E10RON 95-V and 23,450 VND per liter for E10 RON 95-III.
