A representative from a gas station in Ung Hoa commune said that to sell E10 gasoline, the station had to complete all stages from cleaning tanks, checking the pump system and pipelines to ensuring safe operation conditions, and then organizing training for staff on business procedures and product consulting. According to the leaders of Vietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil), the company has launched the sale of E10 gasoline at 1,000 gas stations nationwide, marking a major step in the development of biofuels and the green energy transition in Vietnam. To ensure product quality and operational safety, the company strictly controls quality management at all stages, from production, transportation, storage to distribution at gas stations.

PV Oil has issued a technical guidance manual to ensure consistent, synchronized, and correct implementation across the entire system. In addition to on-site preparation, the company also proactively sources supplies from its main warehouses. Currently, the unit's total E10 gasoline blending capacity reaches nearly 4 million ^m³ /year, ready to supply the entire system and other units if needed.

As the leading petroleum company with the largest market share nationwide, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) is urgently implementing comprehensive solutions to meet domestic consumption needs. Petrolimex Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Dung affirmed that the company's gas station network has been selling E10 gasoline since the end of April 2026, reaching approximately 80% coverage by May 15th, with the conversion to E10 gasoline expected to be completed by May 20th. In addition, the company has also created a supply of nearly 40,000 ^m³ . Ethanol is being delivered to ports and blending points to be ready for blending into E10 gasoline. In the final months of the year, the corporation will continue to proactively source ethanol to meet the demand for E10 gasoline blending.

Amidst the constantly fluctuating global energy market, pressure to ensure domestic fuel supply is increasing. Simultaneously, the shift towards cleaner, more environmentally friendly energy sources is creating clear opportunities for biofuels, especially ethanol, a key component in blending E5 and E10 gasoline.

The restart of the Dung Quat Biofuel Plant (Central Vietnam Petroleum Biofuel Joint Stock Company - BSRBF) is of paramount importance, helping Vietnam gradually become self-sufficient in fuel supply. According to plan, the plant is expected to reach 75-80% capacity in May; approximately 90% in June; and 100% capacity in the following months. To date, the plant has supplied approximately 7,500 ^m³. Ethanol is used for blending into E10 gasoline.

Pham Van Vuong, Director of the Central Vietnam Petroleum Biofuel Joint Stock Company (a subsidiary of Vietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation - BSR), said: “When operating at 100% capacity, the plant will produce 330 ^m³ of fuel.” ethanol/day helps ensure a supply of ethanol for blending E10 gasoline, promotes the roadmap for using biofuels, and increases the supply of petroleum products.”
