Appointment of personnel for Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Culture and Social Affairs

On the afternoon of May 11, at the National Assembly House, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man attended and delivered a speech at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

At the Congress, Head of the National Assembly Party Committee's Organization Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai announced the Decision of the National Assembly Party Committee's Standing Committee to appoint personnel to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and appoint the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee appointed: The Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs consists of 11 comrades; The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs consists of 3 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh holds the position of Secretary, Mr. Lam Van Doan holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the Congress, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that this is the first grassroots party congress of the National Assembly Party Committee, a very important event, not only meaningful to the cadres and party members of the Committee on Culture and Social Affairs but also to the National Assembly Party Committee.

Established on the basis of merging and inheriting the tasks of the former Social Committee and the Cultural and Educational Committee, the Cultural and Social Committee is responsible for a large volume of work, a wide scope, and many fields that are important to the country's development.

During the past term, the Party Committee has inherited and promoted the tradition of solidarity, responsibility, democracy, made many efforts, tried, been creative, focused on leadership and direction to successfully complete assigned tasks.

The Committee has focused on directing the review, revision, supplementation and gradual completion of the Party's policies, especially the implementation of innovative thinking in law-making. 23 laws and resolutions in the fields under the Committee's responsibility have been issued and quickly put into practice.

Monitoring activities continue to be innovated, conducted regularly and effectively. Many large, national conferences organized by the Committee have promoted the intelligence of participating scholars, intellectuals and scientists, contributing effectively to participating in deciding important issues of the country.

All for work, common mission

Referring to a number of key issues in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman noted that the Party Committee of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs should focus on doing well the work of Party building, especially political and ideological work.

Each cadre and party member may have different personalities, but all must work for the common work and mission. In each meeting, cadres and party members are allowed to express all their personal opinions and reserve their opinions, but must ensure the principles, after the meeting has reached an agreement, they must agree to implement it.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Party Committee of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee to focus on advising on perfecting laws in the areas under the Committee's charge; submitting to the National Assembly for approval the Law on Teachers, the Law on Employment, the Law on Advertising, the Law on the Press, etc.

In particular, recently, General Secretary To Lam directed relevant agencies to research and advise on two resolutions of the Politburo and two national target programs on breakthroughs in education and training development and creating breakthroughs in people's health care.

"These are major policies of special importance. We request that the Party Committee of the Committee focus on research, proactively coordinate, and prepare well in the process of advising on policy development and many other laws so that from now until the end of the term we can prepare to pass them related to the cultural and social fields," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
