Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin is an underground coal production unit under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV). In recent years, the Company's underground coal output has always reached over 3 million tons, ranking first in the Group; all aspects of workers' lives have been cared for and improved step by step, year after year, the mine landscape is clean and beautiful, political security, order and safety of the mine are maintained, local defense work is always a bright spot in TKV and Quang Ninh province.

To achieve the above results, in addition to the attention and direction of TKV leaders and local authorities of Quang Ninh province, there are the efforts of the collective leadership and employees of the entire Company, including the significant contribution of comrade Ho Quoc, Director - Commander of the Company's Military Command.

Comrade Ho Quoc, Director - Commander of the Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin actively participated in practicing K54 pistol shooting, lesson 1 at the training class on military knowledge for subject 3 organized by the Military Education Council of Quang Ninh province.

Having matured from production practice and experienced many different working positions, comrade Ho Quoc has trained himself to be meticulous, decisive but also close and emotional. In the position of Company Director, he always struggles to find a suitable direction for the Company to develop stably and improve production and business efficiency. He focuses on building a united and democratic working environment; leading the company to complete and exceed production and business targets; the lives of officers and employees are increasingly improved.

Not only focusing on economic goals, comrade Ho Quoc also clearly identified the responsibility of the enterprise in the work of national defense. He thoroughly grasped the motto: "Production and business are associated with national defense and military tasks; building a strong self-defense force, ready to complete tasks in all situations". That mindset has created a clear mark in the comprehensive development of the company, both economically effective and solid in national defense and security. In parallel with the task of CEO of the enterprise, comrade Ho Quoc takes on the role of Commander of the Company's Military Command - a special task, requiring courage, knowledge and exemplary behavior.

Comrade Ho Quoc, Director - Commander of the Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin always cares closely for cadres, workers, employees and laborers (in the photo, Comrade Ho Quoc - second from right - visits, inspects and encourages workers working underground).

Realizing that, he regularly researched and studied the directives, resolutions, and plans of his superiors to creatively apply them to the unit's practice. Under his direct leadership, the Company's Military Command strictly maintained the combat readiness regime; managed and used weapons and equipment in accordance with regulations; organized training for the self-defense force to ensure correct and sufficient content, program, and time.

Training sessions, tests, and exercises are always linked to real situations, close to mission requirements, achieving high quality and absolute safety. In sports and competitions organized by superiors, the Company's self-defense force regularly wins high prizes, affirming its mettle, level and sense of responsibility. Thereby, contributing to raising the position of the unit in the Emulation Movement for Common Victory of the Quang Ninh Provincial Armed Forces.

In addition to training, he also paid special attention to discipline training in the self-defense force. He often reminded and encouraged officers and soldiers to strictly comply with military discipline, state laws, company rules and regulations. What colleagues and officers and soldiers in the Company always felt in Comrade Ho Quoc was sincerity, closeness and a high sense of responsibility. He always attached importance to ideological work, regularly listened to the thoughts and aspirations of officers and employees; promptly resolved difficulties, creating motivation for everyone to feel secure in their work. He also paid special attention to political and ideological education for officers and soldiers; created conditions for officers and soldiers to complete assigned tasks, considering this the foundation for building awareness and responsibility in the task of building and protecting the Fatherland.

In 2025, the Military Command of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company participated in supporting 90 million VND with the Coal Battalions and Self-Defense Companies under the Provincial Military Command to support nearly 1.5 billion VND to repair and upgrade the traffic route in Ha Thu village, Hai Lang commune, Quang province.

In the Emulation Movement for Victory, he was always the initiator and exemplary leader. He actively directed and participated in many common activities with cadres and employees such as: Self-defense training, tree planting, environmental landscape construction; actively responded to the movement "Building new rural areas", well implemented the policy of the Army's rear to the local mass mobilization work.

It is that closeness and harmony that creates solidarity and close ties within the group, spreading a sense of responsibility, encouraging everyone to strive to complete the task.

With its contributions and achievements, for many consecutive years, the Company's Military Command has been evaluated by superiors as having completed its tasks well and excellently; and has been awarded certificates of merit in the Emulation Movement to Win. Comrade Ho Quoc himself has been repeatedly praised as a typical, exemplary, responsible, and creative cadre in performing the dual task: both fulfilling the role of a business director and excellently fulfilling the responsibility of Commander of the Company's Military Command.

Sharing about his work, comrade Ho Quoc said: “Assigned the task of being both Director and Commander of the Military Command, I always keep in mind that I must attach my responsibility to the sustainable development of the Company and the solidity in building a national defense. Completing the task well is not only a responsibility, but also a source of pride for myself and the Company.”

Showing his respect for the commander, comrade Nguyen Hoang Dao, Deputy Head of the Control Department (Internal Control and Protection), Deputy Commander of the Self-Defense Battalion of the Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, confided: “Comrade Ho Quoc has a scientific command method, regardless of danger, always being an exemplary leader in the most difficult and arduous places and times. Besides, he always cares about the material and spiritual life of cadres, workers, employees, and laborers, including the Company's self-defense force. Comrade Ho Quoc's example has been contributing to spreading the beautiful image of a dedicated, responsible, and committed leader and commander. He possesses the courage, intelligence, and exemplary spirit of a part-time military officer; at the same time, the dynamism and creativity of a business director”.

In the current context, when the requirements for building and protecting the Fatherland and developing the economy are increasingly high, the experience and leadership style of comrade Ho Quoc are valuable lessons, contributing to affirming the effectiveness of the model of combining production and business development with building a strong self-defense force.
