The program is a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, within the series of events "Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days".

Writer Trinh Bich Ngan, President of Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, spoke at the program.

Since the 1930s, poetry set to music has become a familiar beauty in cultural life, especially in southern urban areas. Over time, that flow has been constantly enriched, connecting poetry and music , spreading the beauty of the national soul, increasingly affirming the strong vitality and unique identity of the City named after Uncle Ho.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association compiled the anthology "Poetry set to music - 50 years of Ho Chi Minh City" as a gift of gratitude and honor to generations of artists who have devoted their talent and passion, "weaving" the melody of the times with words and emotions.

Speaking at the program, Writer Trinh Bich Ngan, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, emphasized: "The project does not aim to summarize all the achievements of poetry set to music after 1975, but aims to portray a creative flow with its own identity of Ho Chi Minh City, where poetry and music together reflect the beauty of the soul, thinking and cultural life of the people of the City."

Presenting the symbol to poet Hoai Vu, author of the famous poem "Dong Grassland".

On behalf of the organizing committee, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "Due to limited time, the program only introduces typical works of each period, closely associated with the development of the City's literature and arts. The selected songs not only evoke familiar memories, but are also an indispensable part of the spiritual life of the people of Ho Chi Minh City."

The poem "Ten Mirrors" by writer Trinh Bich Ngan is performed through poetry recitation combined with contemporary dance.

With a rich performance format, combining poetry recitation, singing, dancing, music and drama, the program introduces many famous songs adapted from poems by generations of authors, reflecting the 50-year journey of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City.

Works such as “Footprints in the Front” (poem by Ho Thi Ca), “Ten Mirrors” (poem by Trinh Bich Ngan), “Memories of a White Night at Dong Vinh Loc” (poem by Le Tu Le), “Dong Grassland” (poem by Hoai Vu), “City of Love and Nostalgia” (poem by Nguyen Nhat Anh)... were elaborately staged, bringing to the audience deep emotions, pride and gratitude.
