Book Week runs until November 2 with the theme "Nurturing love for nature", organized under the auspices of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam (101 Van Phuc, Ngoc Ha ward).
Speaking at the opening ceremony of “Ehon Week”, Mr. Ogasawara Manabu, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, said: “The event displays 100 Ehon picture books (a line of illustrated books known as “food for the soul” in Japan) originally in Japanese, along with Vietnamese versions. The works on display are selected by VBBY, the International Book Council for Children and Young People in Vietnam, ensuring diversity in content, age, and richness in illustrations. Ehon is not only for children who can read, but is also suitable for children under 1 year old, helping children perceive the world through images and stories told by adults. Parents coming to the exhibition will have the opportunity to experience reading with their children, opening up a new perspective on the Ehon picture book series”.
