The Hanoi National University Examination Center has just announced information about the organization of the 2025 High School Student Aptitude Assessment (HSA) exam, including the detailed exam schedule and locations.

Accordingly, the exams will take place from March 15 to May 18 in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong , Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa...

Specific exam times and locations for the 6 sessions are as follows:

Professor Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Hanoi National University Examination Center, said that the system will open for candidates to choose a second exam session (if they wish) from 9:00 a.m. on March 3 until 14 days before the official exam date. Candidates choose the exam location on the exam registration system http:/hsa.edu.vn/. This exam schedule can be adjusted in accordance with disease prevention work (if any). Students should pay attention to the mid-term exam schedule of their high school to avoid choosing the same HSA exam session.

Candidates create an exam account at http://khaothi.vnu.edu.vn/ or http:/hsa.edu.vn/ and choose the corresponding exam session.

Candidates should note that the system only allows an account to log in and operate on one computer device at the same time. Candidates can only choose one exam session during the exam periods from 9:00 on February 23 to 16:30 on March 2.

The system will open for candidates to choose a second exam session (if desired) from 9:00 a.m. on March 3 until 14 days before the official exam date.

Registration and exam fees must be paid online within 96 hours of completing exam registration. If the candidate does not pay the fee within 96 hours, the exam will be automatically canceled.

The system allows candidates to register for a maximum of 2 exams per year (as of December 31). Two consecutive exams must be at least 28 days apart. The exam session will automatically close 14 days before the official exam date.

The exam fee from 2025 is 600,000 VND/candidate/exam. The fee paid is non-refundable for any reason. Therefore, candidates should read the instructions carefully and consider carefully before paying the fee.

Exam notification will be sent via email and posted on the exam account 7 days before the official exam date.

The High School Student Competency Assessment Test is done on a computer, lasting 195-199 minutes, and includes two compulsory sections in the fields of Mathematics & Data Processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes). The third section (50 questions, 60 minutes) allows candidates to choose either Science or English.

Each test section may include an additional test question that is not scored. Candidates can check their results and receive their test result certificate 14 days after taking the test. The test result certificate will be sent via registered mail to the address and phone number declared in the HSA test registration account.
