Officially opening the capacity assessment test portal, the first opportunity to enter university in 2026

(Dan Tri) - From today (November 25), the registration portal for accounts to take the 2026 High School Student Assessment (HSA) exam of Hanoi National University has officially opened.

Candidates need to quickly complete the procedures to prepare for the exam registration which will start from December 28.

The Institute for Digital Education and Testing, Vietnam National University, Hanoi , recommends that candidates carefully read the instructions for HSA candidates before registering. Strict compliance with the regulations is mandatory to avoid errors and ensure eligibility for the exam.

Candidates are required to have a phone number to register an account. The system will send an OTP code to the phone number to confirm the registration of the exam account, confirm the cancellation of the exam, and confirm the request to reset the password in case the candidate forgets the password. This phone number must be registered to the owner to avoid loss or lock.

Regarding email, candidates are required to have a personal email, do not use someone else's email to register an account. Password and email must be kept confidential.

The 2026 HSA assessment exam of Hanoi National University will take place from March to May next year in many provinces and cities.

Exam locations in 8 localities include: Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh .

There are a total of 6 exam sessions, each with 20,000 candidates. Thus, the total number of exams is up to 120,000, an increase of more than 30% compared to last year and the highest ever.

HSA is one of the two largest private exams in the country, with about 60,000-90,000 candidates. Every year, when registering for the exam, there is a network congestion. Many students run out of seats at their desired location, so they have to go to other provinces and cities to take the exam.

Therefore, preparing an account early and in accordance with regulations helps candidates be proactive in registration.

This year's exam fee remains at 600,000 VND/session. The system allows candidates to register up to 2 times in a year, at least 28 days apart.

Candidates need to pay attention to the semester exam schedule and high school assessment to avoid overlapping with HSA exam sessions.

The Hanoi National University HSA is a computer-based test. The test lasts 195 minutes and includes two compulsory sections: mathematics and data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and literature and language (50 questions, 60 minutes).

In the third part, candidates choose between science and English (50 questions, 60 minutes). In 2025, nearly 90,000 candidates took the HSA. The average score was 78.8/150, up two points from the previous year.
