West Lake flower market is bustling with buyers

On January 27 (28th of Tet), Tay Ho flower market (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) was bustling with tourists coming to enjoy spring and buy flowers to display on Tet holiday.

Tay Ho flower market is located along Lac Long Quan street, held near Tet, and has been established for more than 10 years. The center of the market is the flower garden at the intersection of Nguyen Hoang Ton - Lac Long Quan, opposite Tay Ho District People's Committee.

The flower market is organized by the local government, so that people from flower villages in the Phu Thuong - Nhat Tan area can display their goods for sale during Tet. This year, many peach trees with curved shapes are sold. Round peach trees have reasonable prices and are chosen by many families. Bonsai peach trees cost millions of dong. Peach branches cost from 500,000 to 2 million VND and are chosen by many buyers.

Some garden owners even rent cars to transport peach branches to sell during Tet. Besides peach blossoms, small and medium sized kumquat pots also attract customers. According to vendors at the flower market, trading has been bustling since the afternoon of January 26 (27th of Tet). Among the peach blossoms, many pots of bright yellow apricot blossoms are also on sale.
