Synchronous deployment
The public health network of Tay Ninh province currently has 27 units under the Department of Health , including 7 provincial hospitals, 15 lower-level health centers and 186 grassroots health stations. In addition, the private health system has also developed strongly with 5 hospitals and more than 1,000 clinics of all kinds, playing a supporting role and sharing the burden with public health . Thanks to the close attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and close coordination with the Department of Health , the health facilities system throughout the province has been invested and upgraded significantly. Most units have spacious, clean facilities, ensuring conditions for professional work and patient care.
Implementing Decision No. 5959/QD-BYT dated December 21, 2021 of the Ministry of Health on the criteria for green - clean - beautiful medical facilities, the Provincial Department of Health has organized training, inspections, and implementation instructions at all facilities from 2022 to present. Notably, in 2023, the province organized training for 110 delegates and included green - clean - beautiful content in the periodic inspection plan. By 2024, 100% of medical facilities in the province have participated in self-assessment on the medical facility environmental management software.
According to the self-assessment report data according to the green - clean - beautiful criteria, the results are very positive: 7 units scored over 95 points, of which Long An Segaero General Hospital scored a perfect 100 points, Tan An Medical Center scored 99 points, Long An General Hospital scored 96.5 points... Many other units scored high from 90-95 points, such as Kien Tuong Medical Center (97 points), Thanh Hoa Medical Center (95.5), Can Giuoc Medical Center (95 points)... Even units with old facilities scored over 80 points, demonstrating efforts to overcome difficulties to improve the working environment and patient care. The summary table of self-assessment scores of the units shows the uniformity and high determination throughout the industry, whether it is a provincial hospital, a grassroots hospital or a private medical facility.
Identifying the renovation and construction of a green - clean - beautiful environment as one of the important criteria in the unit's operations, in the past time, Tan An Medical Center has deployed it to departments, offices and all officers and employees. For each officer, spend 5 minutes every day and 1 hour every Friday to clean the workplace; mobilize the Youth Union in departments and offices to participate in the cleaning movement in the campus, office... The Center also renovated and upgraded spacious facilities from the medical examination and treatment system, pharmacy, parking area, reception counters at departments and offices to create the most friendly and convenient landscape and environment for people when coming for medical examination and treatment.
Comprehensive care
Building a green - clean - beautiful medical facility is not simply about beautifying the landscape, but also aiming at a higher goal: improving the quality of real medical services, providing comprehensive health care for people. Medical units in the area have proactively arranged patient-friendly spaces, creating green campuses, reducing noise; strengthening infection control procedures, ensuring hygiene in toilets and patient rooms; applying comprehensive care models, placing patients at the center, in which patients are listened to, consulted, and cared for from admission to discharge. At the same time, medical ethics and service attitude are also put first. Doctors and medical staff are trained and improve their communication skills, especially for medical staff, to create a professional image, standard behavior, closeness, and build trust in the people. Thanks to that, it not only helps improve the quality of treatment, but also helps restore the patient's psychology, reduce the rate of complications, and contribute to reducing pressure on the medical team.
It can be said that the implementation of the green - clean - beautiful medical facility model in recent times has achieved very positive results. However, in reality, there are still difficulties and obstacles. Some units do not have the conditions to use renewable energy, energy-saving sensors; lack of investment funds to upgrade old facilities, especially waste and wastewater treatment with modern technology. Some places have not organized environmental incident response drills, and there are no outstanding initiatives in reducing medical waste... However, these limitations have been clearly identified by the units and included in the plan to overcome in the coming period, with a spirit of learning and high determination.
According to the health sector, in the coming time, Tay Ninh province will continue to increase investment in environmental treatment technology, use clean energy in healthcare; encourage green initiatives, replicate typical models in the industry; promote socialization, public-private partnership to mobilize non-budgetary resources; raise awareness and the role of people in maintaining hygiene and protecting the medical environment...
With the achieved results and clear orientation, Tay Ninh is affirming its pioneering role in building a green - clean - beautiful, civilized and safe healthcare system, gradually moving towards modern, humane and sustainable healthcare quality.
