As the core of the preventive health system, the unit continues to demonstrate its initiative in disease surveillance, disease prevention, ensuring vaccination safety and expanding standard preventive health examination services.
In November 2025, Hung Yen CDC implemented synchronous monitoring measures to prevent unusual public health situations from occurring. Six rapid response teams were on duty 24/7, promptly investigating and isolating suspected cases. Thanks to the close monitoring capacity, many infectious diseases tended to decrease sharply: dengue fever decreased by 87 cases, hand, foot and mouth disease decreased by 64 cases, and influenza syndrome decreased by more than 300 cases compared to the previous month. Dangerous diseases such as diphtheria, meningococcal meningitis, and rabies did not record any cases.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh - Director of Hung Yen Department of Health attended and directed the conference on preventive medicine work of the province.
Along with epidemiological surveillance, the expanded immunization program has been maintained effectively. The Td vaccination campaign for 7-year-old children reached 93%, among the highest rates in the country. Important vaccines such as measles, DPT-VGB-Hib, and Japanese encephalitis continued to maintain an annual cumulative rate of over 80%, showing that the immunization system operates stably, safely, and proactively, creating strong community immunity.
The outstanding strength of CDC Hung Yen is preventive medical examination and disease risk screening, helping people to have early access to health care services. The general examination department has been invested synchronously, performing many examination - consultation - testing categories to serve community health management and chronic disease monitoring. People highly appreciate the convenience, standardized process and service quality. The center has been invested synchronously in facilities and modern equipment, effectively serving the work of disease prevention, control, monitoring, testing and primary health care.
In addition, CDC Hung Yen's Laboratory is proud to be certified to meet 02 ISO standards (ISO 15189:2022 in the field of biochemistry and ISO 17025:2017 in the field of testing clean water quality and food safety). With its current capacity, CDC Hung Yen's testing system is capable of performing a series of specialized testing techniques, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. This is one of the key strengths that helps the unit improve its capacity to detect infectious diseases early, support diagnosis, monitor epidemics and meet increasingly high professional requirements in preventive medicine.

Many patients have had their thyroid diseases detected early through clinical examination and specialized tests and ultrasounds at CDC Hung Yen.
In the coming time, Hung Yen CDC will deploy a proactive strategy - early prevention - sustainable protection in preventive medicine work. The unit focuses on strengthening the epidemiological surveillance system for seasonal infectious diseases to detect early, quickly localize and minimize the risk of outbreaks. At the same time, the Center will promote communication to raise public awareness; coordinate inter-sectoral coordination to manage epidemic risks; deploy a vaccination campaign to strengthen community immunity, in which the target of Td vaccination is over 95%; organize polio, measles - rubella vaccination for remaining groups, ensuring that there is no "immunity gap". The unit will also advise on expanding BCG vaccination in all facilities with delivery rooms, aiming for uniform coverage and reducing the risk of tuberculosis in young children.
To prepare for new vaccination programs in 2026, Hung Yen CDC has developed a plan to improve grassroots capacity, organize training for more than 500 staff on Rota vaccine deployment and school vaccination, ensuring human resources are ready, unified processes and consistent professional quality throughout the province.
With a stable apparatus, proactive expertise and strengths in preventive medical examination and ISO standard testing system, CDC Hung Yen continues to affirm its leading role in the province's preventive health system. The positive results achieved are an important foundation contributing to the Hung Yen province's health sector entering 2026 with the goal of improving the quality of people's health care and building a sustainable health system./.
