Customs Region V dialogues with businesses, promotes modern customs clearance

On December 4, in Bac Ninh province, the Customs Branch of Region V organized the Customs - Enterprise Conference 2025. Attending the Conference were comrades: Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province; Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province. Attending were representatives of more than 120 import-export enterprises in the two provinces of Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen and some neighboring provinces.

At the Conference, representatives of Customs Region V introduced the centralized customs clearance model, updated new regulations; and warned of common errors in the process of implementing import and export procedures. The Customs Department also had direct dialogue with businesses on goods classification, tax procedures, origin, etc. Many problems were resolved right at the conference, contributing to creating favorable conditions for businesses in production and customs clearance activities.

The leaders of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces highly appreciated the import-export results of the Customs Branch of Region V and the reform and modernization efforts of the Customs sector. They proposed to continue maintaining the regular dialogue mechanism, enhancing interaction to promptly remove difficulties for businesses; at the same time, affirming the important role of import-export activities in economic growth and improving the investment and business environment.

According to the report, in 2025, the total import-export turnover of Region V is estimated to reach more than 220 billion USD, an increase of 8% compared to 2024, continuing to be in the leading group of the country. Thai Nguyen alone reached 47.18 billion USD, an increase of 8.31%; of which exports reached more than 29 billion USD, imports 18.12 billion USD. Taxable turnover reached 1.07 billion USD; budget revenue reached more than 2,760 billion VND, an increase of 13.9%.

At the program, leaders of Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces and representatives of the Customs Branch of Region V performed the ceremony to announce the milestone of the entire region's import-export turnover exceeding 200 billion USD - an important milestone in the process of modernization and development of international trade. Customs Branch V awarded commemorative medals to honor the Top 10 enterprises with the largest import-export turnover and the Top 10 typical budget-paying enterprises in the two provinces.

With stable growth momentum, the completion of the centralized customs clearance model and contributions from key industrial localities, including Thai Nguyen, import-export activities of Region V are expected to continue to play a driving role in the economic development of the region and the whole country.
