Container truck drops hundreds of kilograms of steel on Highway 51, one person injured

At around 10:30 a.m. on December 4, on National Highway 51, passing through the Cai Mep - Thi Vai intersection (Tan Phuoc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), a container truck suddenly dropped many iron blocks onto the road, injuring a motorcyclist.

At that time, the tractor trailer with license plate 72ER-008.27 was traveling on Highway 51 towards Cai Mep Port. When turning into the port area, the cargo behind the truck shifted, causing several iron blocks weighing hundreds of kilograms to fall onto the road, blocking almost an entire lane.

At this moment, a motorcyclist behind did not have time to react and collided with the scattered iron. The victim fell onto the road, breaking his leg; the motorbike was badly damaged, the wheel stuck under a large piece of iron.

The incident happened during a rainstorm, the slippery road surface caused traffic congestion in the area. Traffic police quickly arrived to regulate traffic and coordinate with cranes to remove the iron blocks from the scene.
