
On December 4, at the Tuoi Tre Newspaper Office, the Organizing Committee held a press conference to announce the Pho Day program on December 12, 2025, with the theme "Raising the level of Vietnamese rice - Spreading to five continents".
This is an annual activity to honor Vietnamese pho and promote Vietnamese culinary culture to the world .
After 9 years of organization, Pho Day has become a large culinary festival, and has expanded internationally through the "Vietnam Pho Festival" series in Japan, Korea and most recently Singapore.

The event held in Singapore in October 2025 alone attracted more than 35,000 visitors, served tens of thousands of meals, and recorded more than 400 business connections between Vietnamese and Singaporean enterprises. It is expected that Pho Day 2026 will be held in Australia.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, through the event, the industry and trade sector wants to spread Pho Day to domestic and international friends.
The 2025 Pho Day Festival is expected to have about 30 pho brands from North to South participating, serving more than 20,000 bowls of pho and welcoming about 100,000 visitors. Each bowl of pho costs 40,000 VND.

The organizers said they will allocate at least 10% of pho sales revenue, along with contributions from readers, to support people affected by storms and floods in Dak Lak province (formerly Phu Yen ).
The press conference also introduced the story of "raising the level of Vietnamese rice" through the case of MC Do Thi Tam, owner of Pho Since 1960 restaurant in Bac Ninh with Chu noodles made from Hong bao thai rice, a specialty rice variety of the northern mountainous region.
