Hai Phong: A generation of young people pioneering in digital transformation

On the afternoon of December 3, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City organized a dialogue program between city leaders and youth in 2025 on the topic "City youth pioneering green transformation and digital transformation".

This is the first dialogue program between the leaders of Hai Phong City People's Committee and the youth after the merger.

At the dialogue, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized that after the merger, Hai Phong City has the third largest economic scale in the country. This is an important foundation for Hai Phong to continue to grow and become a growth pole with influence in the region and internationally.

Affirming the pioneering and vanguard role of the youth force, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung said that the dialogue program was organized to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the youth; thereby helping the city to build and promptly adjust mechanisms and policies related to key issues such as employment, start-up - career, vocational training, culture, sports , digital transformation and green transformation.

At the dialogue session, 10 dialogue opinions were presented and more than 200 recommendations were sent to the program by young people. The recommendations focused on major groups of issues related to green transformation and digital transformation such as: mechanisms and policies to support young people in developing digital skills, accessing new technologies; financial support, legal advice, investment in startups, production and business; job opportunities, green startups, digital startups; practicing green lifestyles, spreading digital culture, applying digital in life.

Youth delegates also proposed to strengthen propaganda and education to raise awareness of preserving national identity in the digital environment; at the same time expressed the desire to participate and contribute youth to the cause of socio-economic development of Hai Phong city.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung highly appreciated the awareness and sense of responsibility of the city's youth through their frank and timely opinions on green transformation and digital transformation. In order to further promote the role of youth in these two fields, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung assigned specific tasks to the youth.

In the field of digital transformation, Hai Phong City leaders hope that young people need to be more aware and make efforts in studying and training to improve their qualifications, knowledge, skills, and pioneer in participating in the process of building e-government and smart cities.

Regarding green transformation, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung hopes that young people need to actively change their awareness to actions to carry out environmental protection activities, from the smallest things such as maintaining hygiene, using recycled products, to bigger things such as studying, researching, inventing new applications and technologies that contribute to protecting a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung affirmed that the city will always accompany the youth, continue to pay special attention, and create the best conditions for the youth to develop comprehensively, especially in the field of green transformation and digital transformation. The city will promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and resolve the legitimate recommendations of the youth.
