The Vietnam Expressway Administration has just approved the results of selecting an investor for the project to build and operate the rest stop at km 205+092 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, part of the North - South Eastern expressway. This is the 5th rest stop on the North - South Eastern expressway that has an investor.

The winning investor is the Thanh Thanh Nam - Chau Thanh - Viet Han - Saigon Investment - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Joint Venture.

This is a joint venture of Thanh Thanh Nam Joint Stock Company - Chau Thanh Petroleum Trading and Services Company Limited - Viet Han Automobile Joint Stock Company - Saigon Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Tourism Company Limited.

The consortium of investors won the bid to build and operate at km 205+093 of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway with a value equal to the amount paid to the state budget of 81 billion VND; the preliminary value of the project implementation cost is more than 316 billion VND; the value of compensation, support and resettlement is more than 36 billion VND.

The overall progress of the project of rest stop at km 205+092 Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is 18 months. Of which, the time to complete public service works is 12 months; the project exploitation time after completing the investment is 25 years.

Rest stop km 205+092 Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway includes a pair of rest stops. The station on the right side of the route has a total area of ​​5.5 hectares; the station on the left side has an area of ​​about 7.5 hectares.

Rest stops have a group of public service facilities (providing free services) including: parking lot; resting space; temporary rest room for drivers; restroom; information provision area; place to organize and launch traffic safety propaganda; duty area for rescue workers and first aid for traffic accidents.

The second group of items are commercial service facilities including food and beverage service areas; product display and sales areas; fuel stations; electric vehicle charging stations; vehicle maintenance and repair workshops; car washes; amusement and entertainment areas; children's play areas; auxiliary facilities; and other essential services to meet people's needs.

The third group of items are auxiliary works including: local symbols or rest stops; places for production and processing of local specialties; places for community activities (organizing fairs, cultural activities); auxiliary works in the investment incentive category.

Previously, the Vietnam Expressway Administration announced a bidding process to select investors for 7 rest stop projects among 6 expressway projects that have been put into operation (Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway has two rest stops at km 144+560 and km 205+092).

Up to now, there have been 5 rest stops on the Eastern North-South Expressway sections that have selected investors to build and operate in the form of socialization through bidding, including: Mai Son - National Highway 45, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet (two stations) and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay.

Rest stop projects on Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Nha Trang - Cam Lam highways are currently in the process of selecting investors.
