The Ministry of Transport has just approved the results of selecting an investor for the project to provide aircraft maintenance services under component 4 at Long Thanh International Airport.
According to the approval decision of the Ministry of Transport , the winning investor is Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO). This is an investor with experience in the field of aircraft maintenance in Vietnam.

As the inviting party, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is assigned the task of signing and managing the contract based on the results approved by the Ministry of Transport to organize and implement the next steps.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, this agency has urgently and actively organized negotiations and signed project contracts with investors to shorten the progress as much as possible, put the project into operation soon, and ensure quality and progress in accordance with the Government 's direction.
VAECO is a member unit of Vietnam Airlines Corporation. Currently, VAECO has 6 hangars, capable of maintaining 2 wide-body aircraft and 7 narrow-body aircraft at the same time. Currently, VAECO is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam as an Independent Maintenance Organization in compliance with the Aviation Safety Regulations Part 5.
