In the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Science and Technology has both arranged, consolidated and streamlined the organizational apparatus, and promptly, drastically, synchronously and effectively implemented the goals, tasks and solutions on science, technology and innovation (STI) in the province; advised the Provincial People's Committee to establish 7 technical support teams to deploy the e-government system to serve the operations of the 2-level local government apparatus to ensure continuity and no interruption; proactively grasp the situation, promptly support and guide units and localities to handle and remove difficulties and problems arising in the operation of the 2-level local government model.
Currently, the unit is monitoring and managing nearly 100 topics at all levels and 18 grassroots-level tasks. Of which, a number of topics have been accepted and put into practical application, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of a number of models in the province's key agricultural sector. In order to create a healthy business environment and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, the department has also conducted many inspections and tests on standards, measurements, and quality of goods in the province; at the same time, focusing on promoting intellectual property activities, supporting scientific creativity and technological innovation, making an important contribution to improving the competitiveness of local enterprises.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan acknowledged the achievements of the Department of Science and Technology in the first 6 months of the year. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested the Department of Science and Technology to continue to effectively implement important documents of the Politburo , the Central Committee and the Government on science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation (DT), especially Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo , Resolution No. 71 of the Government, Plan No. 02 of the Central Steering Committee; proactively propose focused and key science and technology tasks associated with the requirements of restructuring the apparatus and DT in the political system and public administration; strengthen the role of state management of science and technology; improve the quality of appraisal, acceptance and application of provincial-level science and technology topics and projects; encourage enterprises to participate in ordering, sponsoring and applying research results; promoting innovation in the public and business sectors....

Regarding the organizational structure after the merger, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan requested the Department of Science and Technology to continue reviewing and evaluating the organizational structure capacity, perfecting the staff in the direction of expertise, professionalism, and quick adaptation to the requirements of digital transformation; the organizational structure must be completed before July 31, 2025; strengthen consulting the Provincial People's Committee on mechanisms and policies to attract and develop a team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees with research capacity, innovative thinking, and technological expertise, especially in the field of digital transformation and science and technology management; at the same time, regularly report on progress, results, and propose mechanisms to remove obstacles for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct.
