To proactively respond to heavy rain, floods, and inundation, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requests local authorities, Bac Duong and Nam Duong KTCTTL One Member Co., Ltd., relevant departments, branches, and units to: Closely monitor weather developments, rain and flood situations on river banks, immediately deploy key protection plans for vulnerable dykes according to the 4-on-the-spot principle, prepare forces, materials, vehicles, machinery, and equipment to protect dykes. Check and review riverside residential areas, low-lying areas, and areas at risk of flooding, proactively clear the flow of drainage canals.
Organize forces to guard, control, support, and guide traffic safety for people and vehicles at points at risk of flooding, and resolutely not allow people and vehicles to pass if safety is not ensured. Urge farmers to promptly harvest rice and crops in low-lying areas that are at risk of local flooding, affecting crop yields. Proactively pump and drain buffer water to drain floodwaters for industrial parks, urban areas, residential areas, and agricultural production to minimize flooding in the area. Check and review dike and irrigation works that have had incidents or are under construction or unfinished construction to immediately deploy safety measures.
