President Tebas believes that such tournaments have a big impact on the schedule and preparation of European clubs for the new season.
“There is no need for another tournament like this,” he stressed. “We must maintain the current ecosystem of tournaments and eliminate tournaments like the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. Let’s keep the old format, with matches played every weekend.”
Asked how FIFA could change the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ in the future, Tebas said: "Get rid of it. My goal is to make sure there will never be another tournament like this again, that's very clear."
