Prime Minister Doskozil expressed his honor to welcome President Vo Van Thuong, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to visit Burgenland state at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, considering this a special milestone, marking the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Austria developing to a new height.

The President thanked the leaders of Burgenland for their warm and thoughtful welcome and congratulated Burgenland on its remarkable development achievements in recent times, turning the state into a dynamic economic center, a leading locality in renewable energy development, and a highly developed agricultural and tourism sector in Austria.

Prime Minister Doskozil shared Burgenland's strengths in public health services, social security for the elderly and children; said Burgenland strives to achieve zero net emissions by 2030; agreed to promote connections with Vietnamese localities in renewable energy, especially energy storage technology using environmentally friendly organic batteries, tourism, culture and arts.

Prime Minister Doskozil highly appreciated the suggestions of President Vo Van Thuong, affirming that Burgenland wishes to connect and cooperate with Vietnamese localities, especially in investment - trade, sustainable development, and people-to-people exchange, thereby effectively contributing to consolidating and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Burgenland is one of nine states, located in the far east of the Republic of Austria. From a region heavily devastated after World War II, Burgenland has now become a region with a fairly high growth rate in Europe with an average GDP growth of 3%/year. Blessed with more than 300 sunny days a year, Burgenland is a pioneer in renewable energy development in Austria, with wind power generating nearly 150% of its demand.
