On behalf of the State and people of Vietnam, President Luong Cuong congratulated Mr. Lee Jae Myung on being elected the 21st President of the Republic of Korea; at the same time, conveyed the regards of General Secretary To Lam and Vietnamese leaders to President Lee Jae Myung.

President Luong Cuong highly appreciated President Lee Jae Myung's importance in relations with the Asian region; at the same time, he emphasized that the early phone call this time showed the importance of relations with Vietnam; affirmed that Vietnam supports the development policies of the Republic of Korea and believes that under the leadership of the President, the Republic of Korea will continue to develop prosperously, the people will be happy; the role and international position of the Republic of Korea will be increasingly enhanced, contributing positively to peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

President Luong Cuong expressed his delight at the achievements between the two countries after more than 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, especially since the two countries upgraded their relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; affirmed Vietnam's consistent stance of always attaching importance to relations with the Republic of Korea and wished to work with President Lee Jae Myung to promote bilateral relations to continue to develop substantially, effectively, comprehensively and sustainably in the coming time.

President Lee Jae Myung highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in national development in recent times and wished to work together for the common development of the two countries; he suggested that Vietnam continue to pay attention to creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest and expand their investment scale in Vietnam in the coming time.

The two leaders also agreed to implement major directions to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; continue to maintain and promote the exchange of delegations at all levels; expand defense, security and transnational crime prevention cooperation; continue to closely cooperate to implement specific actions in economic, trade and investment cooperation to respond to current global challenges; make science and technology cooperation, innovation, especially high-tech industries an important pillar of cooperation to promote relations between the two countries...

At the same time, strengthen cooperation and mutual support in regional and international forums, including coordinating the successful implementation of the APEC Summit 2025 in Korea, the APEC Summit 2027 in Vietnam and co-chairing the Mekong - Korea Cooperation mechanism.
