Ward chairman in Quang Ninh causes accident that kills electric bike rider

On the evening of June 12, the authorities of Uong Bi City ( Quang Ninh ) said that the Investigation Police Agency of Uong Bi City is verifying and investigating the accident that left one person dead.

The person who caused the accident was Mr. Luong Tien Dat (born in 1986, residing in Nam Khe ward, Uong Bi city), currently Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Vuong ward (Uong Bi city).

At around 7:30 p.m. on June 9, at Km86+250, National Highway 18A, in Nam Khe ward, a road traffic accident occurred. A Ford Everest car, license plate 14A-025.90 driven by Mr. Luong Tien Dat collided with an electric bicycle driven by Mr. D.VT (born in 1963, residing in Nam Khe ward), causing Mr. T. to die.

According to Uong Bi City authorities, Mr. D.VT is a relative of Mr. Luong Tien Dat.

After the accident, Mr. Luong Tien Dat went to the authorities to present himself.
