TPO – The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee appointed Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu – Deputy of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies to hold the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies.
On the morning of August 2, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to award decisions to officials. Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai chaired the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Bac Nam announced the decision of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to appoint Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies to hold the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies.
The term of office is 5 years.

In his speech assigning tasks, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai hopes that the new Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies will lead the development of the unit into an excellent center, a focal point connecting other agencies, and at the same time play a good role in advising the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and departments, branches and localities on the city's development orientation in the coming time.
Along with that, research connects resources to make worthy contributions in the process of building and developing the city.
Chairman Phan Van Mai also requested the Party Committee, leaders and the Institute's staff to unite and join hands to support Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu to successfully carry out his tasks.

“One of the tasks and also considered as the upcoming action program of the institute is to focus on building a team so that each person in this unit must be a brain, an excellent person to be able to transform what is learned from outside and apply it to the city's reality,” Mr. Phan Van Mai instructed.
Upon receiving the assignment, Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu thanked the city's leadership for entrusting him with the new assignment, and also thanked the staff of the City Development Research Institute for their support over the past time. Mr. Vu expressed his commitment to continue to promote the development and connection of the institute's resources to be worthy of the role and mission of this agency.

Dr. Truong Minh Huy Vu, born in 1984, hometown Tien Giang province, has a Master's degree in Public Administration, PhD in International Management, and Senior in Political Theory.
Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu was the Director of the Center for International Studies and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM. He was then appointed as Deputy Director and then Director of the Software Technology Park of the VNU-HCM. He has held the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies since December 2022.
