Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh has just signed a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the time to receive domestic solid waste (CTRSH) at Da Phuoc landfill of Vietnam Waste Treatment Company Limited (VWS).
Accordingly, the Regional Construction Investment Project Management Boards and the Thu Duc Regional Technical Infrastructure Development Center will coordinate with relevant organizations and units to announce the time for receiving solid waste at Da Phuoc landfill from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day, starting from 6:00 p.m. on December 1, 2025; at the same time, inspect, supervise, accept and pay for service provision according to regulations. During the implementation process, if there are any changes related to the cost of transporting solid waste, the units will report to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for synthesis and report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and implementation guidance.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City directed the People's Committees of wards and communes with the volume of solid waste to be distributed to Da Phuoc landfill to coordinate with relevant units to propagate and organize the collection and transportation to ensure environmental hygiene according to the above-mentioned adjusted time. The collection and transportation of solid waste will not cause congestion or waste backlog and ensure waste security in the area.
Previously, VWS Company sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City regarding the time of receiving garbage at Da Phuoc landfill. Accordingly, VWS Company will receive and process garbage for Ho Chi Minh City 24/24 hours until November 30, 2025 so that the city has time to arrange and safely set up the garbage collection and transportation system when VWS starts to change the time of receiving garbage to night (from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.).
