On December 12, 2024, Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX) held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.

Reporting on the 2024 work results, VNX leaders said that the Department has completed the following tasks: Operating the trading market safely, stably, and basically smoothly; Continuing to perfect regulations and procedures to create uniformity in listing and trading registration activities; organizing transactions; managing members; disclosing information; Research and improvement of stock index sets, amendments to the VN30 index rules, development of VN100 index futures products have achieved certain results, contributing to diversifying investment products and improving product quality; The appraisal of membership registration dossiers is carried out strictly, in accordance with legal regulations; Carrying out management, supervision, and periodic inspection of members seriously, promptly detecting violations; Proactively deploying and closely coordinating with the State Securities Commission in monitoring compliance, monitoring transactions, handling suspicious transactions, and handling violations; Actively participating in directing investors and coordinating activities between units to speed up the implementation of new information technology systems; The organizational structure continues to be improved; implementing the arrangement of subsidiaries along with gradually improving leadership personnel at all levels.

Speaking at the Conference, the Chairman of the State Securities Commission acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that VNX achieved in 2024. Regarding the implementation plan in 2025, Ms. Vu Thi Chan Phuong - Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission suggested that VNX focus on the following key tasks:

(1) Ensure safe, stable and smooth operations of transactions at Stock Exchanges.

(2) VNX, HOSE, HNX, VSDC proactively participate in giving opinions on amending legal documents such as: Decree guiding the amended Securities Law; VNX reviews and completes to issue regulations according to its functions.

(3) The Stock Exchanges and VSDC put new information technology systems into operation. At the same time, research, upgrade and develop new information technology systems and trading systems to ensure that they meet trading needs when upgrading the market.

(4) VNX and its subsidiaries should increase their proactiveness, specifically report difficulties and problems, and predict problems that may arise when upgrading the market or when the new information technology system comes into operation to contribute opinions to the State Securities Commission, the Ministry of Finance , and the Government when drafting legal documents.

(5) VNX and its subsidiaries research and develop new products for the market such as deploying the VN30 index; VN100 Futures Contract to be deployed in the first quarter of 2025; Report to the State Securities Commission and the Ministry of Finance on the plan to classify listed stocks; Develop new products, other indices, new markets (SME market, innovative startup market...).

(6) Strengthen inspection and supervision work, especially supervision work from securities companies.

(7) Strengthening propaganda work on the stock market, training investors and market members.
