Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Van Beng, a war invalid in Zone 7, Thanh Ha town.

Accompanying comrade Trieu The Hung were leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Thanh Ha district.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Van Beng, born in 1934, a war invalid in Zone 7, Thanh Ha town; Nguyen Van Thi, born in 1960, a person who worships martyr Nguyen Van Luyen in Zone 3, Thanh Ha town; Dang Quoc Bao, born in 1933, a former soldier, in Village 1, Thanh Xa commune.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung visited the health and families of war invalids, veterans, and martyrs. He expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of veterans and martyrs in the resistance war against the French, creating the Dien Bien Phu Victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

Comrade Trieu The Hung wished the wounded soldiers, veterans, martyrs’ relatives and their families good health, continued to promote the revolutionary tradition, and contributed their intelligence and efforts to build Hai Duong to develop more and more. He presented 3 gifts from the province to representatives of the families.

Representatives of the families expressed their excitement when the provincial leaders and delegates visited and gave them gifts of encouragement. The veterans shared and recalled the memorable, arduous and heroic memories of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Representatives of the families wished the provincial leaders and the next generations to follow in the footsteps of the previous generations to fulfill their responsibility of protecting, building and developing the country and homeland.

According to the People's Committee of Thanh Ha district, as of April 12, Thanh Ha district still has 47 people who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign still alive; 25 relatives worship the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Visiting and giving gifts to some typical policy families is one of the meaningful activities of Hai Duong province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
