Careful preparation for the 80th National Day celebration

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee is well aware that this is both a heavy responsibility and a great pride for the city. Therefore, after receiving the assignment of work from the Central Government, the city promptly took action and seriously carried out the assigned tasks.

Environmental sanitation is being paid attention to by Hanoi city to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape.

The City Party Committee has established an Organizing Committee headed by the Chairman of the City People's Committee and 6 sub-committees to assist in implementing the tasks. The tasks assigned by the Central Government to the city have so far been completed on time and on schedule.

According to Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, on September 5, 2024, the Hanoi Party Committee issued Directive No. 35-CT/TU, comprehensively directing the Party Committee of the City People's Committee, affiliated Party organizations and the political system at all levels to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and major holidays in 2025.

The City People's Committee has issued Plan No. 158/KH-UBND, directing departments and branches to seriously implement 3 main tasks, 8 coordination tasks and 21 tasks proactively deployed by the city.

Hanoi City has completed and the Central Government has approved the Overall Project for organizing commemorative activities (Decision No. 12-QD/BCĐTW dated June 10, 2025).

On that basis, the city has developed a detailed plan to organize the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, march, design the logo, and official identity; and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to approve the anniversary logo.

With a proactive spirit, Hanoi urgently coordinated with departments, ministries and branches to organize a series of important events in the coming time, such as: Incense and flower offering ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Bac Son Martyrs Memorial, Mai Dich Cemetery; national scientific conference; exhibition of socio-economic achievements at the National Exhibition Center; special art program at My Dinh National Stadium; live television bridge (August 22, 2025); Lacquer painting exhibition "Independence Spring" at Ho Chi Minh Museum (August 10 to September 10, 2025).

The city will install a LED screen system for people to watch, avoiding overload in the central area, creating a widespread festive atmosphere.

The city also mobilized more than 8,000 volunteers and receptionists to ensure logistics and welcome domestic and international delegates thoughtfully and respectfully.

Along with that, many meaningful activities also took place in the city, especially the work of "Repaying gratitude" was focused on; cultural and sports events, visual propaganda, tourism promotion, OCOP products, historical education for students.

The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that on this occasion, the message "Bright - green - clean - beautiful capital" will be widely spread through television and radio programs, press articles, and social networks.

In addition, people will be informed and instructed on how to use, protect and maintain public toilets, especially in crowded areas such as squares and parade streets.

According to Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, Hanoi has also proactively proposed specific recommendations to the Central Steering Committee, ministries and branches to carry out tasks to ensure that the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day take place solemnly, safely and economically, leaving a deep impression, adding to the confidence, national pride and the aspiration to build the Capital to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that the city was assigned many tasks by the Central Government, chaired and coordinated to participate, in which the issue of street hygiene and urban beautification received special attention.

The City Party Committee has proactively directed the development of a steering plan, requesting communes and wards to consider this a special, focused, and important task, competing to beautify streets, wards, village roads and alleys to create a new atmosphere to welcome National Day September 2 and the success of the August Revolution.
