Wishing monks and Khmer people a peaceful Chol Chnam Thmay.

(HGO) – On the morning of April 14, Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities visited and wished Happy Chol Chnam Thmay 2023 at Pothirangsay Pagoda, Area 1, Ward IV, Vi Thanh City.

Mr. Tran Van Huyen (right), Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, presented gifts to the pagoda.

On behalf of the delegation, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished the monks and Khmer people in Region 1 a peaceful, warm and happy Chol Chnam Thmay; and informed about the economic , cultural and social development of the province in recent times. Notably, in the first quarter of 2023, the province's economic growth ranked first in the country; the material and spiritual life of the people in the area in general, and the Khmer people in particular, continuously improved... These results were achieved thanks to the contributions of the entire Party Committee, government, businesses and people, including the Khmer people.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee added that in the coming time, the province will have 2 expressways passing through, this is an opportunity not only to change the appearance, but also to promote the development of industry, agriculture , urban areas, tourism, thereby helping the people's lives to constantly develop. Therefore, the support of the Khmer ethnic people in the area is very much needed.

Venerable Danh Vu Linh (standing), abbot of Pothirangsay Pagoda, expressed his gratitude for the attention and visits of provincial, department, and local leaders.

“With their prestige, we hope that the monks of Pothirangsay Pagoda will continue to propagate and mobilize the Khmer people to comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; uphold the spirit of solidarity; strive to study, compete, and implement well the local movements launched; and promote production development so that life can develop more and more,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished.

Here, Venerable Danh Vu Linh, abbot of Pothirangsay Pagoda, expressed his joy and gratitude for the attention and visits of the provincial leaders, departments, branches and localities; affirmed that he will, together with the Khmer people, strictly comply with all local regulations; and mobilize people to increase production to contribute to the overall development of the province.
