Receiving a gift from Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Thang, Political Commissar of Regiment 52, Ho Thi Ha, from Chenh Venh village, Huong Phung commune, emotionally said: “My parents passed away early. My four siblings and I have lived together since we were very young, and have been helped by the soldiers of Regiment 52, who provided us with clothes, books, and school supplies... My siblings and I are very grateful to the soldiers. We will try our best to study well so as not to let them down.”
Mrs. Ho Thi Thom, in Cu Bai village, Huong Lap commune - who was adopted by Regiment 52 - shared: "Due to family circumstances, I did not have the opportunity to study properly. When I grew up, got married and had 2 children, my husband died early, and I had to raise the children alone. In 2007, I adopted an abandoned child, so life became more difficult. Thanks to the soldiers of Regiment 52 who adopted me, helped me and my children build a house, and provided clothes, rice, food, etc. Therefore, my family's difficulties were somewhat reduced, and my children were all able to go to school."

Along with implementing projects, building models of cultivation and livestock breeding, helping people develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably, Regiment 52 identifies sponsoring and supporting disadvantaged families and poor students as a meaningful humanitarian act, contributing to strengthening the "people's hearts" in the border area. Not only adopting and sponsoring children, the unit has coordinated with localities and agencies and units to organize many meaningful activities such as: Coordinating to propagate the law, building a new lifestyle, eliminating child marriage and superstition; transferring science and technology in livestock breeding and cultivation, etc.
Every year, the agencies and Production Team of Regiment 52 have sent over 100 cadres, employees, and young intellectuals to volunteer to organize field trips and volunteer campaigns to help localities and disadvantaged households improve their lives; receive support and sponsor nearly 20 disadvantaged families. Along with that, Regiment 52 has mobilized dozens of vehicles, over 300 working days of soldiers, and provided materials to help families with preferential policies and poor households build and repair more than 60 houses for people...
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tuan, Commander of Regiment 52, affirmed: In order to effectively help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, the Party Committee of Regiment 52 determined that, first of all, it is necessary to focus on improving the people's knowledge. To implement this policy, Regiment 52 has launched a movement to sponsor and support poor students to overcome difficulties, helping children of families with especially difficult circumstances to continue going to school.
Currently, the agencies and units of Regiment 52 are taking care of 6 children and sponsoring 21 students in difficult circumstances. The sharing of Regiment 52 is an opportunity for students in the border areas to rise up in life, strive to study well, nurture dreams and ambitions to contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful village in the future; at the same time, enhance the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".
