Joining hands and minds to overcome the problem to restore power to the people of the Northern provinces

In the face of difficulties and challenges, the camaraderie and comradeship of the “Orange Shirt Soldiers” is demonstrated more strongly than ever. To overcome the extremely serious consequences caused by storm No. 3 on the power grid system, 3 shock teams with 60 officers and employees of Thanh Hoa Power Company (PC Thanh Hoa) are present day and night in Quang Ninh and Hai Phong with the electricity industry to urgently fix the problem, striving to restore power to the people as soon as possible.

Faced with the severe impacts caused by storm No. 3 on the northern provinces, PC Thanh Hoa has established 3 shock teams consisting of 60 officers, workers and employees with specialized vehicles, equipment, tools and power grid repair tools to support Quang Ninh Power Company and Hai Phong Power Company Limited.

These are officers and employees who are healthy, have professional experience, are capable, volunteer, and are ready to join the shock team to help the above localities overcome electrical problems caused by storm No. 3.

Assigning tasks and encouraging the Shock Team to go to support the two provinces of Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, Mr. Hoang Hai, Director of PC Thanh Hoa, requested that each member of the team proactively equip themselves with necessary tools to ensure support work; during the implementation of the task, they must ensure absolute safety for themselves and their colleagues and fully support their colleagues, contributing to completing the recovery from the consequences of storms and floods in the fastest and most effective time.

Accordingly, on September 9, 2024, Thanh Hoa PC sent 2 shock teams to participate in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh. On September 15, 2024, after supporting the basic repair of damages and ensuring the restoration of power supply to customers in Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa PC's shock team No. 2 was mobilized to Quang Ninh to support shock team No. 1. Given the large workload of the electricity industry and the urgent requirement of restoring power supply to the people as soon as possible, on September 16, 2024, Thanh Hoa PC's shock team No. 3 continued to be present in Quang Ninh to participate in the task.

Only by being present at the scene can one see the terrible devastation of the storm. In Quang Ninh alone, Typhoon Yagi paralyzed the entire power grid system of the province with 54 medium voltage stations damaged, over 1,000 medium voltage poles broken and fallen, and nearly 2,700 low voltage poles damaged.

Immediately after arriving in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, PC Thanh Hoa's shock teams promptly coordinated with other units to approach the scene, quickly grasp the work content to promptly fix the problem.

The key tasks are to focus on pulling and erecting medium and low voltage power lines; handling incidents at 110kV transformer stations; handling defects at 110kV lines; counting damages, zoning incidents, checking, reviewing, isolating incidents, and gradually restoring power supply to important places such as city centers, towns, and pumping stations...

These days, Thanh Hoa PC staff and workers and electricity workers are always in a state of "eating quickly and sleeping urgently", racing against time to bring light back to the people.

The "Orange Shirt Soldiers" of Thanh Hoa PC and staff of the electricity industry worked through the night to handle the incident caused by storm No. 3 on the power grid system of the northern provinces.

Not only participating in supporting electricity workers, people also have special feelings, sharing and encouragement for Thanh Hoa PC officers and employees.

Faced with the huge workload of the electricity industry and the urgent need to restore power to the people as soon as possible, Chairman of the Trade Union, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company Nghiem Dinh Son directly went to the scene to visit and encourage the Company's shock force who are participating in supporting the recovery of power grid damage caused by storm No. 3 in Quang Ninh province.

Not only visiting and encouraging, Mr. Nghiem Dinh Son, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa PC, also participated in supporting the shock team to handle an incident point in Quang Ninh.

Difficulties still lie ahead, the workload is still huge, but with the determination, solidarity and unity of the "orange soldiers", the electricity industry is making every effort every hour to promptly overcome the problem, striving to restore safe and stable power supply to customers, contributing to stabilizing people's lives and activities after the storm.
