" Last year we finished 5th. This season, we strive for a higher goal ," coach Vu Hong Viet shared ahead of the new season.
On the afternoon of October 16, Nam Dinh Club held a ceremony to launch the 2023/2024 season. The team's management, coaches and players are determined after finishing 5th last season. The team continues to spend big to bring in famous players such as Rafaelson, Tran Van Kien, Nguyen Van Toan, and Nguyen Van Vi.
" This year we brought in 10 players. These are quality players, helping to thicken our squad. Each position has 2 to 3 people. I am satisfied with the team's strength this season, " said coach Vu Hong Viet.

Because the 2023/2024 season will be played according to a new time frame (starting in the fall and ending in the summer of the following year), the break between the two seasons will be quite short - about 2 months. Nam Dinh Club will give the players a week off before returning to training to prepare thoroughly for the new season.
" We are very well prepared, ready for the opening match of the new season. We have to change more positively than last season in terms of physical strength and playing style to achieve the set goals, " added Mr. Vu Hong Viet Nam.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nguyen Manh affirmed: " This year the club invested in many new, quality players. Therefore, the provincial leadership, the people and the group's chairman set high goals. I personally think that is the motivation for the players in the new season.
Football has to have pressure and that is what we need. When leaders set clear targets, players will be more determined. All players and coaching staff will try to unite and work together to achieve the goals set by the leaders ."
In the opening match of V-League 2023/2024, Nam Dinh FC will host Quang Nam at home. This match will take place at 6:00 p.m. on October 22.
