According to initial information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, previously, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency received a report from a citizen denouncing Mr. Cao Tien Doan's illegal acts. The investigation determined that Mr. Cao Tien Doan violated accounting regulations causing serious consequences as stipulated in Article 221 of the 2015 Penal Code. The search of Mr. Cao Tien Doan's residence and company headquarters took place from the evening until after 11:00 p.m. on August 28.

At the end of the 2024-2025 V-League 1 season (ending on June 22, 2025), Thanh Hoa team finished in 8th place on the rankings with points.
