Defeating Ninh Binh, VTV Binh Dien Long An defends the national championship title

Winning a thrilling 3-2 in the final match against Ninh Binh, VTV Binh Dien Long An successfully defended the championship title at the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

VTV Binh Dien Long An showed progress with each match. Despite not having their main hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, the Western team still had convincing victories against Duc Giang Chemicals and Vietinbank.

Meanwhile, the home team Ninh Binh also missed Bich Tuyen in the second phase. With the extremely impressive performance of the middle striker pair Le Thanh Thuy - Luu Thi Hue, the team of the ancient capital Hoa Lu overcame the strong opponent of the Information Corps in the semi-finals to participate in the championship match.

As expected by fans, the two teams played with dedication, constantly chasing the score. In set 1, effective blocking and the brilliance of foreign player Paskova helped Ninh Binh win 25/16. In contrast to the first set, VTV Binh Dien Long An showed a completely different face in set 2. Kim Thanh was the main scorer, helping coach Ngoc Hoa's team win 25/17.

In set 3, the excellence of Le Thanh Thuy and foreign player Paskova brought victory 25/21 for Ninh Binh. The final match became dramatic when VTV Binh Dien Long An won 28/26 in set 4 thanks to the brilliance of Kim Thanh and Lan Vy.

Entering the 5th decisive set, the two teams fought for each point. After a 11/11 draw, Ninh Binh had 2 consecutive losing points when making mistakes in step 1. Taking advantage of this opportunity, VTV Binh Dien Long An won 15/12, winning 3-2 overall, and taking the championship.

This is the second consecutive time VTV Binh Dien Long An has won the final, while Ninh Binh could not be crowned despite playing at home, having to accept the runner-up position. The third-placed team is the Information Corps. Ho Chi Minh City Women's Team will have to play in the A division next season.

In the men's group, Border Guard successfully defended the championship after defeating The Cong Tan Cang 3-2 in the final match. Despite the regretful loss, The Cong Tan Cang finished in 2nd place overall, while the new recruits Ho Chi Minh City Police finished in 3rd place. The relegated team was Tay Ninh .
