In 9 months, Khanh Hoa Health sector examined and treated more than 3.2 million people.

On October 17, Khanh Hoa Department of Health held a conference to review medical work in the first 9 months of 2025 and deploy activities for the last months of the year.

In the past 9 months, the health sector has continued to effectively implement key tasks and solutions for health care. Accordingly, health facilities have provided medical examinations to more than 3.2 million people (up 2.5% over the same period); provided inpatient treatment for more than 252,000 people (up 7.2%); performed surgeries for more than 43,100 people (up 2.7%); the number of hospital beds reached 36 beds/10,000 people; the number of doctors reached 12 doctors/10,000 people; the rate of population participating in health insurance reached 95.43%.

Implementing digital transformation, 7 hospitals have applied smart medical kiosks with nearly 33,970 registrations for medical examination via kiosks; medical examination and treatment facilities have initiated electronic health records at a rate of 90%; 100% of medical facilities have linked records to the Vietnam Social Security Appraisal Portal, implemented cashless payments; the results of administrative procedure settlement by the Department of Health on time and early reached 100%. In parallel, the whole industry has effectively implemented national health target programs; expanded vaccination; disease prevention and control, HIV, tuberculosis, leprosy, mental illness, etc.

At the conference, representatives of medical facilities pointed out the difficulties in the current work of preventing and fighting infectious diseases; inadequacies in the regime and support policies in the health sector; problems in paying for medical examination and treatment costs under health insurance... At the same time, they requested that Vietnam Social Security pay for medical examination and treatment costs under health insurance from 2022 onwards. The Ministry of Health should soon provide instructions on tasks for medical stations; research and agree on the use of a common software in health sector management; have a salary policy, allowances, and appropriate treatment regime for medical staff.
