2025 Youth Tug of War Championship, total prize money of 540 million VND

The 2025 Youth Tug of War Championship took place at Dai Nam University (Hanoi), opening a vibrant and inspiring sports journey for Vietnamese youth.

For the first time in Vietnam, there is a large-scale grassroots playground dedicated to students, workers and laborers - in tug of war. With the message "Connecting youth - Enduring will", the tournament aims to spread the spirit of sports training, active living and community connection.

Tug of war is not only a familiar folk game, but also one of the traditional rituals and games of Vietnam that has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2015).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - representative of the Organizing Committee said: "The tournament is not only a sports competition, but also an opportunity for young people to affirm their will, courage and solidarity. The tournament not only demonstrates physical strength and tactics, but is also a symbol of will, solidarity and belief - the lasting values ​​of Vietnamese culture. We hope that the tournament will become a real sports festival for Vietnamese youth in the coming time."

The tournament takes place from October 14 to December 5, 2025, including 8 stages, with 7 regional qualifying rounds and the final round, bringing together more than 100 teams, nearly 1,500 athletes and about 20,000 spectators at the competition venues.

The qualifying rounds will take place at Dai Nam University, University of Commerce,FPT Polytechnic College, Noi Bai Industrial Park, Tien Lang Stadium (Hai Phong), My Hao Sports and Culture Center (Hung Yen) and Thai Nguyen University of Industry, which will also host the final round and closing ceremony.

1.2 billion VND in gifts for the audience and sideline activities of the tug of war tournament

The total prize value of the season is up to 540 million VND, along with more than 1.2 billion VND in gifts for the audience and sideline activities. Not only a competition venue, each stop is also a youth festival - where students and young workers can exchange, experience, and spread the spirit of "strength - perseverance - solidarity" of the new generation.

The 2025 Rockstar Energy Drink Cup Youth Tug-of-War Championship not only honors physical strength but also spreads the team spirit, steadfast will and aspiration to rise of Vietnamese youth.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the tournament will become the largest annual mass sports activity in the country, contributing to preserving traditional cultural values ​​while elevating tug of war to become a symbol of youth in the new era of the nation.
