Associate Professor To Van Phuong, Head of the Training Department at Nha Trang University, said that the university's admission plan for next year will basically remain stable, as for many years the university has not considered academic transcripts, mainly relying on the results of the aptitude test and high school graduation exam scores.

However, some aspects will be adjusted to ensure fairness and better reflect reality. Specifically, the school plans to change the method of converting bonus points for candidates with international foreign language certificates, reducing the conversion rate and only calculating bonus points at a reasonable level.

In addition, Nha Trang University will summarize and re-evaluate the system for converting equivalent scores between different admission methods, and then propose improvements for subsequent admission seasons.

In recent years, Nha Trang University has implemented three admission methods: Direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission based on the competency assessment scores of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam National University Hanoi ; and Admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores.

Specifically, in 2025, the school will not use academic transcripts for official admissions, but will only use the transcripts from 6 semesters as a preliminary selection criterion for admission methods based on high school exam scores or aptitude assessments.

Regarding the conversion of international English certificates, the school offers two options: Converting them into points for the English subject in the admission test combination when candidates use the certificate to be exempt from the English exam in the high school graduation exam; or adding bonus points for candidates with certificates if the admission test combination includes English or in the assessment of competency scores.

Nha Trang University is the first and only university in the country that does not announce minimum admission scores but instead provides predicted cutoff scores for applicants to submit their applications.
