There are 16 traffic projects expected to start construction and be inaugurated on December 19.

At the October 2025 meeting of the Ministry of Construction this afternoon (November 11), Mr. Le Quyet Tien, Director of the Department of Construction Investment Economics and Management, said that on December 19, the Ministry of Construction plans to start and inaugurate 16 projects.

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Construction has issued a document requesting ministries, branches, and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to review and register.

Up to now, the Department of Construction Investment and Management has received registration documents from 30 agencies and units (6/17 ministries, 13/34 localities, 11 corporations and companies) with a total of 60 projects (36 projects started, 24 projects inaugurated) expected to start and inaugurate, of which the Ministry of Construction plans to start and inaugurate 16 projects on December 19, 2025 (4 projects started, 12 projects inaugurated).

Specifically, 12 projects are expected to be inaugurated, including the Eastern North-South Expressway sections: Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon-Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh-Van Phong, Can Tho- Hau Giang , Hau Giang-Ca Mau.

In addition, the Component 2 Project of Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, Cao Lanh-Lo Te, Lo Te-Rach Soi Expressways, expansion of some bridges and tunnels on National Highway 1; improvement of Quy Nhon channel for 50,000DWT ships, project to upgrade Cai Mep-Thi Vai channel from buoy number "0" to Cai Mep container port area.

Four projects are expected to start construction, including: expanding the Cam Lo-La Son section, completing the Than Vu tunnel, expanding the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong-My Thuan expressway, and the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway.

According to the report of the Director of the Department of Construction Investment Economics and Management, in 2025, it is expected to start construction of 17 projects. To date, 10 projects have started construction, including: Cam Ly railway bridge, Kep-Ha Long railway line, upgrading and expanding a number of bridges and tunnels on National Highway 1 (Xuong Giang, Gianh, Quan Hau bridges and Deo Ngang tunnel), expanding the Cao Bo-Mai Son expressway section, the route connecting Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway with Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho expressway, Cho Moi-Bac Kan route, National Highway 46 Vinh-Nam Dan city section, La Son-Hoa Lien expressway expansion project, weak bridge and connecting bridge renovation project on national highways (phase 2), My An-Cao Lanh expressway project phase 1, Dau Giay-Tan Phu expressway project.

Seven projects have not yet started construction, including: 3 projects are completing procedures for project approval, including the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong-My Thuan expressway, the completion of the Nui Vung tunnel, and the completion of the Cu Mong tunnel; 4 projects have had their projects approved, including the construction of the Ninh Cuong bridge over the Ninh Co river on National Highway 37B, the Cam Lo-La Son expressway expansion project, the completion of the Than Vu tunnel, and the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway./.
