There are 40 parking lots in Hanoi's Ring Road 1 area that are eligible to install charging stations.

According to a survey by Hanoi Parking Lot Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., the Company is currently managing more than 150 vehicle parking lots, of which about 40 are eligible to install charging stations for electric vehicles.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Parking Lot Exploitation Company said: "At locations where charging stations for electric vehicles can be installed, the first thing to consider is the electricity infrastructure. But if the electricity company can provide the infrastructure for the charging station, and the capacity of the charging station, then it can be installed. If the electricity company "shakes its head", then it has to accept it."

Regarding the investment plan for charging stations for electric vehicles, a representative of Hanoi Parking Lot Exploitation Company said that through working with the Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company (V-GREEN), the parties proposed two options, either V-GREEN will install 100% or Hanoi Parking Lot Exploitation Company will install 100%. These two options are being considered, and when implemented, one of these two options will be chosen.

In the immediate future, the Company will survey locations within the campus with large areas to report to the Department of Construction and the Hanoi People's Committee for approval. For charging points on the roadway and sidewalk, it depends on the Department of Construction and local authorities.

Planned location to install electric charging station to serve people.

For the 4 initial locations identified as having sufficient conditions and areas to arrange parking lots combined with charging stations for electric vehicles (empty land from house number 621-768 De La Thanh street; parking lot in the empty land next to the headquarters of the Embassy of the Russian Federation of the roundabout of Ring Road 1-Kim Ma-Cau Giay; sidewalk and empty land along Tran Khat Chan street from the intersection of Bach Mai street to the intersection with Lac Nghiep street, more than 500m long; vacant land location in front of the headquarters of Vietnam National Shipping Lines at 1 Dao Duy Anh), according to Mr. Vinh, after checking, the 2 locations at De La Thanh street and Cau Giay point are stuck in the Ring Road 1 expansion project, so we have to wait for the project to be completed, then consider whether there is land left or not to implement construction.

Currently, only 2 locations in Tran Khat Chan and the location at vacant land No. 1 Dao Duy Anh are feasible and will be installed by the Company in coordination with V-GREEN this August.
