84.78% of voters agreed with the draft project to merge Tien Cam and Tien Son communes.

Accordingly, 2,523/2,523 voters of the commune participated in the second voter consultation on the draft Project on merging commune-level administrative units of the District People's Committee. As a result, 2,139 voters agreed (84.78%) and 358 voters disagreed (14.19%) with the content of the draft Project on merging Tien Son and Tien Cam communes.

Previously, in the first consultation with Tien Son voters, 88.42% of voters disagreed with the draft proposal. Voters were still concerned and did not agree with the temporary selection of the headquarters of both Tien Son and Tien Cam communes as the workplace of the new Tien Son commune administrative unit after the merger.

With the results of this voter consultation, on June 13, 2024, Comrade Le Van Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the province for the period 2023 - 2030 had a meeting with the Standing Committee of Tien Phuoc District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of Tien Son Commune Party Committee and listened to the aspirations of officials and party members of Tien Son Commune at the propaganda conference on the policy of merging commune-level administrative units in Tien Phuoc District organized by the Tien Son Commune Party Committee.

On that basis, the Head of the Steering Committee for the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the province for the period 2023 - 2030 has announced the conclusion on the contents related to the policy of merging commune-level administrative units in Tien Phuoc district.

The announcement stated: "In the initial stage after the merger, to ensure the operation of the new commune-level administrative unit, both existing headquarters (Tien Son and Tien Cam commune headquarters) will be used initially. The arrangement of working units will be directed by the collective standing committee of the new administrative unit's Party Committee, ensuring that the arrangement is suitable to the actual situation and creating the most favorable conditions for people in the commune to carry out related administrative procedures.

After the new administrative unit comes into operation, the Party Committee and the government of the new administrative unit will survey and fully evaluate all factors, propose additional planning, investment plans, and allocate resources to build a working headquarters in a suitable location, ensuring development conditions and creating the most favorable conditions for people in the new administrative unit; at the same time, include it in the Party Committee resolution of the next term to focus on leadership and direction for implementation.

Thus, up to now, except for Tien Son commune, which had to consult voters for the second time, voters of communes and districts subject to administrative unit arrangement in the 2023-2025 period of the province all agreed with the draft arrangement project developed by the district and provincial levels, with a rate of 91% or more.
