Opportunity to become a TEDx speaker for students in Hanoi

Greenwich Vietnam is opening a call for speakers for the TEDx English speaking stage in Hanoi in March 2024, with registration open until December 15.

Candidates must go through four rounds of selection. The Ideas round takes place from November 25 to December 29. Candidates must register via the website before December 15 and have 15 days to prepare a 500-word essay in English to present their ideas to the organizing committee by email by December 29.

At Casting (January 5 - 20, 2024), the top 50 contestants with the best ideas will send a video recording of their personal speech to the organizing committee before January 20, 2024. From February 2 to 22, 2024, the top 30 contestants with excellent video performances will continue to enter the "Most Favorite Speaker" voting round on the TEDx Greenwich fanpage.

Round 3 - Platform will be held on February 23, 2024. The top 30 contestants will present on the TEDx Platform stage in Greenwich Vietnam, Hanoi campus. Finally, the On stage round will take place on March 6, 2024, the top 15 contestants with the highest scores in the previous round will officially become TEDx speakers and participate in live presentations on the TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi stage.

The TEDx English speaking stage organized by Greenwich Vietnam at the Hanoi campus is called "TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi". This is an international playground for Greenwich students, high school students in Hanoi and neighboring areas. Participating in the program, candidates have the opportunity to demonstrate their English skills, creative thinking and inspire positive changes in the community.

In addition, young people are trained in stage management, public speaking and have the opportunity to represent Greenwich Vietnam to be listed as a TEDx speaker worldwide.

With the theme "Trailblazer - Make your mark ", the organizers of TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi encourage candidates to become pioneers in spreading different ideas and personal marks through creative, inspiring and influential ideas in the fields of education, environment, technology and inequality.

When becoming a speaker on the TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi stage, young people will receive guidance, support, and completion of their speeches from lecturers of Greenwich Vietnam; update their profiles on social platforms as speakers of TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi; receive certificates and souvenirs. The speech will be posted on the global TEDx Talks YouTube page with nearly 40 million followers.

Throughout the competition, candidates will be continuously supported by the organizing team with information, methods and procedures to ensure the competition runs smoothly.

TED is a mass media organization that publishes positive talks with the message "Ideas worth spreading". The independent event TEDx is similar to TED, organized by any individual or organization licensed by the organization with the aim of spreading the value of ideas for positive change to the community.

Greenwich Vietnam is an international joint program between FPT University and Greenwich University (UK) since 2009. The unit sets the mission of improving the quality of Vietnamese human resources towards international integration, thereby training according to the original program of the university with a long history in the UK.

TEDx Greenwich has held two seasons at the Da Nang campus under the name "TEDx Greenwich University Danang". The first season had the theme "Education and Life" with the participation of 7 speakers who are students studying at Greenwich Vietnam - Da Nang campus. This year, TEDx Greenwich University Danang returns with the theme "We All Matter". In 2024, TEDx Greenwich University Hanoi will take place for the first time at Greenwich Vietnam - Hanoi campus.
