There are stars wearing PSG shirts!

The first two players of the Russian team arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi . They are midfielder Daler Kuzyaev and goalkeeper Matvei Safonov. Both are playing in France. While Kuzyaev is playing for Le Havre Club, goalkeeper Safonov is a member of Paris Saint-Germain - the current French champions.

The duo Safonov and Kuzyaev are also the rare Russian stars in this training session who are playing for foreign clubs, in the context that most of the squad summoned by coach Valeri Karpin are playing domestically. Other international stars such as Arsen Zakharyan and Aleksandr Golovin are not participating in the tournament in Vietnam.

Born in 1999, goalkeeper Safonov played 7 seasons in the Russian Premier League, before moving to Paris Saint-Germain from Krasnodar Club for a fee of 20 million euros. Last season, Safonov played 30 matches for Krasnodar. However, at PSG, this goalkeeper has not had the opportunity to show himself, because he has to sit on the bench for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Meanwhile, veteran midfielder Kuzyaev (31 years old) is also on the bench at Le Havre, only playing 8 minutes in the most recent match.

Before leaving for Vietnam to compete in the LPBank Cup 2024 international friendly tournament, coach Karpin announced the list of 28 players.
