Strengthening support for localities in applying technology
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province (old) and Binh Phuoc province (old) before the arrangement and merger, implemented many solutions to promote science and technology activities in the area. Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Minh Quang said that in the coming time, the department will focus on implementing tasks and solutions to promote the transfer and application of science and technology products and solutions, innovation and digital transformation in production and business activities of enterprises; implementing science and technology tasks in 2025, especially topics related to the health sector... The department will continue to advise on completing and issuing new resolutions/plans on digital transformation suitable to local characteristics after the merger, replacing old resolutions that are no longer suitable when merging the province. At the same time, the department will continue to expand the Digital Skills Training Program for officials, civil servants, businesses and people through online learning platforms and the Digital Popularization Movement; promote document digitization and connection, consolidation of shared data; upgrade and synchronize internal network infrastructure in new communes and wards...
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, the department will continue to standardize and develop specialized databases connected to the province's digital data warehouse and open data portal; deploy a campaign to issue digital signatures and popularize digital skills for people; at the same time, develop a plan so that each person has a digital identity, digital means, digital skills and digital accounts to form a digital citizen...

Promoting solutions to concretize Resolution No. 57
According to the Department of Science and Technology, regarding the implementation of the tasks of Resolution No. 57, based on the 43 main targets set out in the province's plan for 2025, in the first 6 months of 2025, 17/43 targets were completed and exceeded (accounting for 39.5%). The tasks of direction and institutionalization; raising awareness; digital transformation and administrative reform; developing infrastructure and digital platforms; developing human resources and cooperation achieved many positive results.
Comrade Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that the Department of Science and Technology needs to consider and develop a plan to implement KPI-based staff assessment for the department's key tasks and solutions in the coming time. In particular, for the province's concentrated Information Technology Park, the department needs to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to urgently carry out procedures to ensure progress and regulations; strive to start construction in 2025.
In the last months of 2025, the science and technology sector in the province will review, adjust and supplement the province's regulations, plans and action programs to suit the new situation when merging the two provinces and the general direction of the Central Government, especially policies to remove bottlenecks for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Director of the Department of Science and Technology Pham Van Trinh said that the department will review and focus on implementing key tasks and goals in the last months of 2025, especially tasks and goals on implementing Resolution No. 57 in the province. Comrade Le Truong Son emphasized that the Department of Science and Technology must identify fundamental tasks and motivations to focus on implementation. The Department needs to resolutely carry out the tasks of the industry as well as specific tasks and goals to implement Resolution No. 57 in the province according to the motto "clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear results, clear responsibilities, clear authority". In particular, it is necessary to promote solutions to develop digital government, digital economy, digital society, connect businesses and schools to promote innovation and creativity, startup ecosystem, etc.
