On the morning of July 1, at the Hau Giang Provincial Convention Center, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang Province met with voters after the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Through the socio-economic report for the first 6 months of 2024 of Hau Giang province, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of the province for achieving many important achievements in the fields of economy, society, national defense - security, building the political system... contributing to the growth of the whole country.
At the meeting, the head of the National Assembly said that in recent years when he met with voters in Hau Giang, he did not encounter any case of delegates talking about corruption and negative incidents. Mr. Man assessed that doing a good job of preventing corruption and negative incidents will create trust among the people and attract foreign investors to Vietnam.
According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the tasks for the last 6 months of the year are very heavy. Officials must be resolute, highly determined and determined to do it.
"Promote the spirit of innovation, dare to think, dare to do, and take responsibility. Proactively coordinate closely, synchronously, effectively, and promptly in directing and organizing the implementation of tasks in all fields," Mr. Tran Thanh Man directed.
The National Assembly Chairman commented that there are still places where officials are dodging and pushing things around; some localities are not developing and are standing still; there are problems that are not being solved well but are blamed on the law...
The head of the National Assembly requested timely resolution of difficulties for investors/enterprises; resolutely not allowing situations of not getting timely information and pushing work. He also emphasized the need to do a good job in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; strengthening discipline, order, and strictness of the law.
"Discipline and strict order are needed to lead, direct and operate from within the Party and State to all sectors, levels and people," said the National Assembly Chairman.

Voter Tran Thi My Xuyen, a teacher at Chiem Thanh Tan High School, expressed that the lives of school staff are currently very difficult, with no allowances while having to take on many jobs such as medical staff, cashier, accountant and secretary.
"Many people have not been able to stick with their jobs and have had to quit because their salaries are too low and not enough to support themselves. I would like to propose that the Government research and consider allowing employees of educational institutions to receive the same allowance as civil servants (25%) to help them increase their income, stabilize their lives and feel secure at work," the female voter suggested.
Regarding this opinion, the National Assembly Chairman agreed and said that the recent National Assembly session agreed on the contents of adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits, and benefits for meritorious people... from today, July 1.
In which, the basic salary was adjusted from 1.8 million VND to 2.34 million VND, the highest basic salary increase in the past 20 years.

Voter Nguyen Thanh Dien (Vi Thuy district) questioned the fact that electricity prices increase every year while the electricity industry still claims to be losing money. Mr. Dien proposed that the National Assembly have a plan to stabilize electricity prices and abolish the current method of calculating electricity bills.
The National Assembly Chairman said that this issue has been of interest to, monitored and supervised by National Assembly agencies in recent times.
In 2023, the National Assembly Standing Committee supervised the topic "Implementation of policies and laws on energy development in the 2016-2021 period". The monitoring delegation assessed that electricity prices were slow to change, not suitable for market mechanisms, and not close to reality.
Mr. Man informed that in Resolution No. 937/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated December 13, 2023 on supervision content, the National Assembly Standing Committee requested the Government and the Prime Minister to direct ministries and branches to study and promptly adjust retail electricity prices, and soon legalize the management of retail electricity prices in the spirit of removing all barriers, to ensure transparent energy prices decided by the market; at the same time, ensuring macroeconomic stability and social security.

Also at the meeting with voters, the National Assembly Chairman requested that all levels and sectors of Hau Giang province actively propagate and disseminate laws to the people, especially new laws and policies that take effect from today, July 1, to ensure timely and effective implementation of laws.
