National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with female National Assembly deputies and female leaders of the National Assembly Party Committee

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025), on the afternoon of October 17, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly Chairwoman Tran Thanh Man met and congratulated full-time female National Assembly deputies, female leaders, and female Party Committee members of Party Committees under the National Assembly Party Committee.

On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly Party Committee Standing Committee, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent to the full-time female National Assembly deputies, female leaders, and female Party Committee members of the Party Committees under the National Assembly Party Committee wishes for good health, happiness, success, and many contributions to the cause of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly Chairman pointed out that the nearly 80-year journey of building and growing the Vietnamese National Assembly has marked the contributions of many generations of National Assembly deputies, officials, and female National Assembly deputies through the periods.

Vietnamese women have very valuable qualities, and were awarded eight golden words by beloved Uncle Ho: "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and courageous". In any position, women always promote their mettle, will, determination, compassion, kindness, sacrifice, ingenuity, and strive to rise up, fulfill their natural duties as wives and mothers, and be a solid support, uniting family members, and taking care of family happiness. Women have been actively implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws, participating in the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, and building the country's political system.

Sharing about the country's achievements after 40 years of Doi Moi, the National Assembly Chairman said that the GDP is about 510 billion USD, ranking 32nd in the world and 4th in ASEAN; GDP per capita is estimated at over 5,000 USD, becoming an upper middle-income country. Vietnam has just been re-elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council, affirming the country's increasingly enhanced prestige and position in the international arena.

The National Assembly Chairman stated: The macro economy is stable, inflation is controlled, social security is guaranteed. National defense and security are maintained. Attention is paid to building the political system, the apparatus is increasingly streamlined, efficient, effective and efficient. The fight against corruption, waste and negativity has no forbidden areas, and people's trust in the Party and the government is increasingly consolidated and strengthened. "This result has a very important contribution from Vietnamese women in general, female National Assembly deputies, and female cadres in National Assembly agencies in particular," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

Stating that the 15th National Assembly has 151 female deputies (accounting for 30.27% - a fairly high rate), the National Assembly Chairman assessed that female National Assembly deputies are all sharp, creative, dedicated, and passionate about the movement, aiming for the goal of women's advancement, building happy, civilized families and, more importantly, the prosperous development of the country. The results of activities during the National Assembly terms, especially the 15th National Assembly, show the continuous efforts and great contributions of female National Assembly deputies, female leaders and managers of the National Assembly Office, and agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee.

Recognizing and praising the achievements of female delegates, the National Assembly Chairwoman hopes that female National Assembly delegates, female leaders and managers of the National Assembly Office and agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee will strive to complete their assigned tasks well, with the spirit of "having completed well, we must continue to complete even better, having excelled, we must excel even more".

Emphasizing that the tasks of the National Assembly from now until the end of 2025 are very heavy, including preparing for the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly with a huge workload, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested that full-time female National Assembly deputies, female leaders, and female Party Committee members of Party Committees under the National Assembly Party Committee continue to promote the fine traditions of Vietnamese women; promote intelligence, responsibility, enthusiasm, talent, and courage to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the National Assembly's activities. "Comrades, you must constantly improve and enhance your qualifications through practical activities, becoming shining examples of solidarity, progress, spreading and inspiring women across the country, especially the young generation," the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized.

To quickly adapt to changes in practice, each female National Assembly delegate and woman in the National Assembly's office must continue to be a pioneer in training, have knowledge, health, and responsibility for themselves, their families, society, and the country; constantly research, listen, and equip themselves with more knowledge and skills to serve their work; and create a beautiful image of female National Assembly delegates and female staff of the National Assembly Office.

The National Assembly Chairwoman hopes that women in the National Assembly agencies will take the lead and be the core in promoting the movement of applying information technology, digital transformation, innovation, research and absorbing scientific and technological achievements; effectively implementing the movement "Digital Education for All". In particular, women need to thoroughly grasp the spirit and implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union, suggesting 10 key orientations and tasks of "strategic breakthroughs" of the Vietnamese women's movement in the period of 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the National Assembly Party Committee, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and National Assembly agencies will continue to pay attention and create more favorable conditions for women to promote their capacity, continue to contribute, excellently complete assigned tasks, and contribute more to the activities of the National Assembly./.
