Positive sentiment spread as soon as the market opened, led by the banking group, although demand remained tentative.
The codes VCB, BID, ACB , TCB, MBB were all the driving forces that helped the VN-Index increase points. Notably, in the real estate group, PDR stock had the highest liquidity on the floor and increased by 2.7%.
At the end of the morning session on January 26, VN-Index increased by 4.66 points, equivalent to 0.4% to 1,175.03 points. The entire floor had 254 stocks increasing and 172 stocks decreasing. HNX-Index increased by 1.05 points to 229.58 points. UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.1 points to 87.59 points.

Entering the afternoon session, the positivity continued to be maintained, helping green spread across the electronic board even though liquidity was still loose.
At the end of the trading session on January 26, VN-Index increased by 5.3 points, equivalent to 0.45% to 1,175.67 points. The entire floor had 253 stocks increasing, 193 stocks decreasing, and 129 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index increased by 0.91 points to 229.43 points. The entire floor had 101 stocks increasing, 57 stocks decreasing and 74 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.02 points to 87.7 points. In the VN30 basket alone, 19 stocks increased in price.
The banking group returned to lead the market when the VCB and BID duo contributed 2.2 points to the general index. ACB, TCB, VPB, HDB codes were also present in the list of 10 most actively traded stocks.
Green color covered most chemical group stocks, notably DDV increased by 6%, LAS increased by 7.01%, GVR increased by 2.63%, DCM increased by 0.65%, HCD increased by 5.93%, DGC increased by 1.02%, CSV increased by 5.89%, LTG increased by 1.92%.
Real estate stocks were differentiated, however, the leading codes still increased points, helping the whole group increase by 0.22%. Of which, PDR increased by 2.89%, DXG increased by 0.8%, NLG increased by 2.86%, CEO increased by 0.46%, SZC increased by 5.48%, IDJ increased by 3.39%. On the other hand, the codes KBC, VRE, HQC, VHM, KHG decreased by less than 1%.
Foreign block transaction developments.
The total value of matched orders in today's session reached VND14,588 billion, up 15% compared to yesterday's session, of which the value of matched orders on the HoSE floor reached VND12,899 billion, up 13%. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND5,190 billion.
After a session of net selling, today foreign investors continued to net buy with a value of 234.15 billion VND, of which this group disbursed 1,385 billion VND and sold 1,150 billion VND.
The codes that were sold strongly were VHM 108 billion VND, SAB 85 billion VND, MSN 57 billion VND, VNM 39 billion VND, GAS 23 billion VND,... On the contrary, the codes that were mainly bought were HPG 92 billion VND, HSG 82 billion VND, VCG 76 billion VND, EIB 69 billion VND, NLG 69 billion VND,... .
