On the evening of January 11, VFF announced that it will take appropriate measures to deal with inaccurate information about statements by VFF leaders and images of the Vietnamese national team.

VFF emphasized: "Some false and fake information about the Vietnam team and VFF needs to be strictly handled.

Immediately after the Vietnamese team won the 2024 ASEAN Cup (AFF Cup), some social networking sites used images of VFF leaders and some members of the Vietnamese team with false content, seriously affecting the reputation and honor of Vietnamese football in general, VFF and individuals belonging to VFF in particular, with the aim of attracting views and public attention.

Authorities intervene to protect the Vietnamese team

VFF requests that social networking sites immediately stop spreading this information. VFF will coordinate with relevant authorities to strictly handle violations according to the law.

VFF recommends that fans be careful when accessing information on social networks, always verify the source of information to avoid being misled, misunderstood and possibly leading to wrong actions, unintentionally supporting bad, toxic information that harms the image of Vietnamese football, organizations/individuals belonging to VFF.
